Somewhere along the way her body had stopped repairing itself. Celestia knew she was dying In the only way an alicorn could truly die. By wanting to.

At the very least she doesn't have to live with her regrets forever. That's more than a lot of authors give miserable alicorns when they write similar stories.

This is a well-written and moving story.
