Princess Celestia and her sister princess Luna had inherited the country from their mother, but their mother had divided Equestria just so her daughters would bicker at each other for eternity.
With the intent of embarrassing the other and to conquer more land, the two sisters devised a plan. And that was to hire other people to do their dirty work. But that did not change anything, especially when a thousand years had passed, and with a new threat just around the corner. It's up to the mercs to save the day by doing what they do best.

Yeah, she should've been the medic from the beginning. All honesty I agree with the dude who actually made Medic Twi, she fits better thanks to her interest to science. But sadly the fandom decided that Fluttershy becomes medic.

Spike as the Engineer? Applejack would make sense. Because, they both are and act like they are from Texas.

Texan accent is cool and all, but when you see Applejack you see a tough mare who could hold her ground. Engineer himself isn't tough with his 125 total of health. And he is mostly restricted to his sentry and dispenser. Like I said, he's a middle line and not a front line guy.
The roles that fit her better is as follows: Soldier, Demo, and Heavy. All of which are good for assault.
For reason, Demoman has plenty of trait that makes Applejack fit with the class. He can be played defensively, offensively, support. And a crowd favorite, just plain crazy. Battle engi has some pros that would certainly fit AJ. But Demoknight/Demohybrid are excellent. Applejack is stubborn, tough, and a hard worker. All a fitting trait for Demoman.
I actually considered to put in Pinkie as Demo, but she doesn't got that serious personality. Her personality is also why I made her the Soldier. A crazed unpredictable lunatic with a rocket launcher.
I like this, it's got a similar ridiculousness to the old TF2 comics. And just now calling them the 'old' TF2 comics has made me very sad that we will never get any more TF2 comics.

I realize and understand what you did here. Every TF2/MLP fanfic has portrayed the Mane 6 plus others exactly as the Mercs, that they might as well be those characters. Ignoring the stuff that make them different. Essentially, you're portraying the MLP characters as themeselves, approximately, and assume the role/class of the TF2 Mercenaries.
I get what you're saying. The hardest part of Pyro is partly the enigma. Who or what is the monster behind the mask? I could've seen a changeling working well also, but a kirin is probably best for the association with fire.
