Let me start this off by saying goodshit. I'm Enjoying this tremendously. Like seriously I love this ship. FLUTTERxSPIKE! Perfection... However There is one thing.
Spike: Age 18
Fluttershy: Age 31
Wasn't Twilight like 5 if not younger when she hatched Spike as a filly...
Which would mean Fluttershy was like 5 when spike was hatched. Since all of the Maine 6 got their Cutiemark around the same time and the same age.
I mean you can give or take a year or three. But they where around the same age when Spike hatched... So let's go on and say that Fluttershy was 8 when she got her Cutiemark after seeing Rainbow Dashes Rainboom. That would still just make her 8yrs older than spike.
So if she is 31 Spike Would be 23... If we go with them being 8yrs apart... Which is me going extra by saying that Fluttershy is 3yrs older than Twilight. Honestly at most she's a year or two older. Based on her statement to "Big Sister Pinkie Pie", that she was a year older than her.
Anyway how exactly did this 13 year gap appear between Spike and Flutters... I Need The Answers please. It was bugging me the entire read.

Looking at the Twilight story he is operating on Twilight being 11 when she hatched Spike. Given the contents of the show this is way off, but working on that age all the other math does work out.
