But when they go to look into it, they discover something that threatens to tear their relations apart.

In any case, the first chapter is intriguing and I want to unravel this mystery.
Nice premise so far! Perhaps Chryssy has begun a new hive, and is buying treats for her grubs. I like the bit about Twilight wanting to study her, that seems like something she’d do, given how little known Changelings are at this point.
Ohh very interesting alternate story here so apparently Queen Chrysalis just came to the sugarcube corner like it's a regular thing for her but knowing to the other ponies they were surprised and probably scared she's here so Pinkie Pie called Twilight in the others to see what's going on so the making a plan if she ever try to do something but Fluttershy pointed it out something on Chrysalis head it looks like she suffered a amnesia or something I'm not really sure but they still need to keep an eye on her and she's heading for the everfree forest I wonder if the other changelings are there as well is it thorax pharynx or Ocellus there is a lot of possibilities why she bought so much cupcakes can't wait to see how this will work

Well then that is pretty something so Twilight and the others follow Chrysalis to the everfree forest and once they made it to the castle of the Two Sisters it looks like Chrysalis made a shelter for her egg Twilight and the others are in the mix about this whole thing but there is one thing they didn't want to leave her in the forest so Twilight ask her if she can remember things and it looks like it's been confirmed she doesn't remember what happened 3 weeks ago so Twilight decided to help her and I wonder how this will work out guess we'll find out next time
Now the question is what about the other changelings who whete at the Canterlot wedding attack they would probably want to know what happened to Queen Chrysalis after all that is their Queen and I'm surely they'll probably be looking for her I mean thorax probably would not because you know he never agrees about what Chrysalis did but still I was wondering if that would happen anytime soon
And then Chrysalis gets her memory back, keeps it hidden, and kills them all!

That's called "Ribot's Law", and is usually how retrograde amnesia works; you can remember distant things better than more recent things.

So apparently the Mane 6 aside from Twilight having mixed feelings about this whole situation helping Chrysalis out even though she has amnesia there's still ponies who still remembers what she done and did but Twilight wants to help her even though she has also mixed feelings about this that's one thing she doesn't want to do leaving a mother of kids in the middle of the forest so they decided to teleport back to the library and hopefully things will chill out of course Pinkie Pie came Outta nowhere as usual surprise chrysalis and almost attacking her but Twilight had to stop her and yeah it's hard to explain about how Pinkie Pie does that anyway I wonder how this will go and how will Chrysalis live out her life in Ponyville with amnesia I guess we'll find out next time

So apparently Chrysalis is starting to get a hang of the so far despite how Pinkie Pie can be overwhelming but meanwhile back in the everfree forest rainbow and the others are heading back to Ponyville and they still complain about helping chrysalis which I understand they don't like her what she did back at the Canterlot wedding but she has amnesia so she doesn't really remember anything but the other still remembers what she done but anyway it looks like rainbow and Spike well a letter to Princess Celestia to give them a heads up about chrysalis meanwhile it looks like Twilight and Chrysalis are playing chess board which I was never good at that game but she's been asking a lot of question about her past and it looks like she has a family I mean in her generation at least and I wonder what happened to them so anyway they look like they're enjoying themselves meanwhile back in Canterlot Princess Celestia and Luna are having a little dessert apparently mostly Celestia but it looks like they got the mail from rainbow and Spike and now she's heading for Ponyville ho boy I wonder how this will go down I guess we'll find out next time
now we know that Chrysalis had 2 older sisters (who are probably dead) and one younger (who should become queen because most likely the hive will think that Chrysalis is also dead)

I understand that Rainbow is a bit right, but that she and Spike don't trust Twilight and act behind her back, isn't that a form of betrayal? The actions and decisions you make will determine your future. Their actions may affect many lives.
I think Luna, as a former villain, will listen to Twilight, and maybe, just maybe he's on her side.
Even if Chrysalis's memory does or does not return, I believe that she and Twilight could develop feelings for each other or at least a strong friendship. I also think that if things get worse to the point that Twilight could be hurt, Chrysalis will act like a villain and say that it was all a lie or something, to blame herself, and others forgive Twilight.

I don’t think that’s such a great excuse; most traitors in both history and fiction, I’m sure, considered their decisions and resulting actions entirely justified as well, and yet we don’t seem to generally consider that reason enough to just go “well, okay then” either.
That said, merely informing Celestia that Chrysalis is now in Ponyville absolutely can be considered simply due diligence; even if she’s currently honestly amnesiac (and that is in fact what it looks like to me), there’s no way of telling if or when she’ll recover her memories again or that she won’t just revert to her old ways once she does, and the Princesses will simply want to know in any event. Unless perhaps it turns out that they’ve deliberately painted the situation as worse than it actually looks at the moment, I can’t in good conscience blame Rainbow Dash and Spike for that -- Twilight would likely have gotten around to doing the same herself, anyway, just not quite this soon.

That's all part of the backbone of this story: the strain that this development puts on their relationships and elements. Twilight's putting friendship over her own biases, Dash is having to choose between her loyalties, Applejack can hardly face the truth of the situation, Fluttershy's struggling to keep everyone acting kind, Pinkie's acceptance towards the situation is putting the sceptics on edge, and Rarity... Is there, too.

Well it looks like Twilight and Chrysalis are having a good time playing checkers but it looks like they have an unexpected guest it's Princess Celestia and Luna and of course they told them about Chrysalis being here Twilight is going to talk to spike and rainbow about this but Twilight told them about Chrysalis situation and her condition as well that she has amnesia or whatever you want to call it so Princess Celestia wants to see this for herself and it looks like it's been confirmed she doesn't remember anything but it looks like they have a pretty nice conversation even though Princess Luna is in the mix so I wonder how this will work out I guess we'll find out next time

I didn't cancel it, nor any of my other stories; I'm just trying to build up a backlog of chapters so that, when I'm ready to publish, it can be more consistent. Call it a mid-season hiatus, if you will.

You know, calling a story dead when author hasn't been updating it for a month or two is way too soon. I've seen cases when author returned back after a year or even a few.
There's only one case when story is completely dead. That's when story's author has passed away. Until then there's always hope. Anyway, I'd consider a story probably dead after a year without any updates of any kind. At this point sudden revival is more of a pleasant surprise rather than the norm.
Everyone write at their own pace. A thousand words in a month just feels too little. Especially when the story is genuinely interesting.

Very nice to see the story again but unfortunately things did not go very well so apparently Rainbow dash and Spike finally made it to the library thinking that they done a good job getting Chrysalis out for what they found is they are having a conversation with both of them did not help the situation they basically just yell and insult her which that makes her upset and just leave and of course Princess Celestia and Luna are not happy what they did so twilight try to reason with Queen Chrysalis but then it looks like the secret is out Twilight told her about the past event of the Canterlot Wedding and Queen Chrysalis is even more confused than ever boy I wonder how this will work out guess we'll find out next time

at the time of this writing, the story was labeled "on hiatus." For me, this is usually a signal that the story is unlikely to continue. At least in my memory, this is the only time when the story with this mark really came to life.

Ah, makes sense. I think I've seen another one or two which got back from this point, though. For me "on hiatus" means that author at least cared to update status at some point. So, while unlikely he or she actually may return. Especially when they have other active stories. It's much worse to see an amazing story without this label or any updates for five years and nothing but radio silence from the author.

I agree, this is the worst. Although no, it is worse when the author of a good story is regularly online but stubbornly ignores his own story and readers who are waiting for the continuation. (I saw two of them on the site.)
