While six-year-old Venator is playing with his three-year-old adopted brother, Perditor, in the field behind their parents' house, a group of ruffians grab the pair and spirit them away. Now they have to break away from their foal-nappers and find a way back home. But how are they supposed to do that when they don't even know where they are?

Okay. Still, if you don't mind, a friend of mine had this headcanon, which I found pretty useful. That for special occupations, fish and poultry is a meal for ponies. You could use this if you want t to add meat into a story.
And if find use for Hanzal and/or Candy in future stories, feel free to do so

Akaitora isn't really a friendly sort. Plus, most of his life has already been planned out, including his death. He might receive a care package from Venny and Perry as thanks for his help, but he and Kai likely won't ever be close.
That's the way it goes when your stories within a continuous literary universe are written out of chronological order.

Venny is the child of Kai and Fluttershy. Perry was born to unnamed parents, but was adopted by Kai, and then by Fluttershy two days later.
