And this is why solitary confinement is considered unethical. Now Twiâs mind is broke , and when they put it back (if they put it back), Twilight May never forgive them. What was this even supposed to do? If she did serve her whole sentence, what lessons did they expect her to learn?
The fact that nobody checked in on her says nothing good about any-pony in this story. But then, these are the ponies who threw a mentally ill filly into Tartarus, so itâs par for the course.

I am not one of those who blame from the beginning, usually, I wait until the story develops more to have an opinion, but in this case that those responsible regrets what they did and want to repair the damage done.

The reason my chapters tend to be shorter is because I do a lot of my writing on my phone instead of on a computer so itâs harder to judge lengths that. I also tend to simply end a chapter when Iâm starting a different âpoint of viewâ or focus. For example starting with a chapter focusing on Twilightâs journey and how she feels and then when I want to focus on anotherâs feelings or thoughts or movements essentially their part of the story I do it in a new chapter so itâs less âwhere did this come fromây. Not saying itâs the right thing to do but when youâre writing on your phone itâs a lot easier to organize.
The reason I chose anthro is because I have a few stories in the works and all of them arenât anthro so for a bit of a challenge I decided to try. If people are interested I could totally do one that isnât because thatâs actually what I prefer to write.

No worries. Now, as for twilight teaming up with this mysterious alicorn, I highly doubt it. Heâs the reason this whole thing started. So why team up with him? If anything, I can see twilight just being neutral. As for spike, he probably left ponyville to be in the dragonlands, because although there are some pros to staying in ponyville like holding on to old memories, there are also some cons like memories of twilight, which based on what we know thinks betrayed equestria.
after what twilight had gone through im hopeing she just leaves once she has a handel on her mental state again. most of her freinds and family is likely dead now so i hope she can find and make up with spike as while we dont know what was said or happend between them it would be better for twilight in the dragon lands or wherever he is the with the two who basicly tourtured her for 100 years

not what she did, what spike thinks she did. unless the princessess themselfs tell him that she was innocent then he likely will still think she was the criminal she was said to be. also if he is talked around then he has to come to the relisation that he let his sister be jailed and mistreated for the last 100 years.
if she was truely kept in isolation like it seems her being imprisond means she has missed alot of events like her niece growing up, her brothers death, parents deathes and her freinds deaths.

we dont know yet maby flashbacks for the 6. Flurry heart and spike could be the family refered to? but at the moment looking back i dont think it has been stated or not if her family and freinds are dead yet so maby we are looking at ponys with a longer life span? could possibly be that her parents are only elderly now and not dead.
at the end of the day we can speculate but untill we are told in the story we wont know for certin but you are right something is either an error in the summery or we will soon get something explned to us that will explane it.
what im curious about now is this new alicorn as he apparently knew what he needed to do to become an alicorn and was able to outside celestia and lunas notice so that could be a bad sign of what has happend in twilights absence.

something to note is that celestia was able to check on her eventualy. so that means that the "this is normal" effect isnt overpowering and is able to be pushed aside with a good reason. i have to question if it can be pushed aside with a good reason were the guards under the same spell or were they told not to feed twilight.
Definitely the Sisters aren't to blame. If they genuinely were under a spell, it's not a case of someone voluntarily drinking, then driving and causing a disaster because they were drunk of their own free will and stupid mistakes, it's a case where someone had their food or drink spiked without their knowledge, then driving and having an accident. Any consequences are entirely the responsibility of whoever spiked their food or drink, the driver in that case is another victim.

54,750 Days/365 gets you 150. I used the number of days during the imprisonment chapters because I wanted to emphasize just how long she was locked up with no one and nothing. From now on when referring to her time in prison I will be going by years like most people refer to the passing of a long time. For instance you would say Iâm âxâ days old youâd say Iâm âxâ years old but if you were doing something unpleasant for a decent amount of time youâd probably refer to the time in days like âIâve been stuck in the mine for âxâ daysâ.

I sympathize because if someone was forcing me to do something against my will Iâd be just as ticked as I would be if I was wrongfully locked up. Iâm not sure if it was clear and coming chapters will describe just exactly what the spell did but essentially the spell was supposed to emphasize specific thoughts and feelings while suppressing others of the casters choosing. So say someone did something that was mildly irritating to you and itâs something youâd normally just move on from but suddenly itâs all you can think about and you canât think âhuh this normally wouldnât bug me that muchâ instead all you can focus on is revenge for this stupid thing. Itâs not exactly the same because Twilight spent 150 YEARS in prison but it was sort of like âitâs not importantâ âsheâs not importantâ âdonât think about itâ âfocus on what she didâ. theyâre decisions were their own except unless something was vitality important to them their conscience wouldnât be loud enough to say âhey this is wrongâ

I remark that itâs similar to drinking not exactly the same. The reason being that the spell wasnât meant to completely alter their behavior just their focus of certain thoughts and feelings. They werenât able to fight it off because it wasnât âimportantâ enough to them and thatâs where they get blame.
If someone else is controlling your emotions and actions, then you have zero accountability. You reactions are not your own. Add to that the fact they were made not thing think about it meaning they could not come to their senses and correct it.

Hm, this is a twist. I imagine the male alicorn has been disguised as a guard and using his position to poison the Princessesâ minds. On the one hand, that at least makes the princesses more sympathetic. On the other, I think this reveal robs this story of some of its drama. I think Iâd have preferred if all the guilty party had done was frame Twilight, but the trial, isolation, and neglect had been deliberately done by the Sisters because of their anger. It would make this story tragic in a very Greek sense, and would lead to some interesting character development where the Sisters would be confronted with their own capacity for cruelty. It would make our sadistic villain become a kind of foil for the Princesses, in that he tortures ponies for fun, while they do it for âjustice.â Indeed, this would raise some interesting ethical dilemmas about the value of punitive punishment, and how far it can slide from âjusticeâ, to becoming as bad as the crime being punished.
That said, this is your tale. I look forward to seeing how all of this plays out.

I agree with this. By making it that they've been manipulated the entire time, it now practically absolves them of any guilt that they have for what they've done to Twilight. It feels like this has been done to make it easier for Twilight to forgive them once the story is done because "They were all manipulated into this."
