wow. what is cadence view on this?

I would need to see the evidence they have against me.

“Despite being questioned thoroughly on multiple occasions you refuse to admit you’re wrong doing. If you are unable to speak the truth then there is no use to anyone speaking to you. During your imprisonment you are to have no visitors, no conversation. You will be kept alive but that is all the mercy you shall receive for your treachery.” Princess Luna declared with finality. “Take her away!”

I would have told her to go f*ck herself.

Why not just ask the colt what happened?

So the reason twilight hasn’t beaten celestia into the ground is because she can barely remember her.

And this is why solitary confinement is considered unethical. Now Twi’s mind is broke , and when they put it back (if they put it back), Twilight May never forgive them. What was this even supposed to do? If she did serve her whole sentence, what lessons did they expect her to learn?

The fact that nobody checked in on her says nothing good about any-pony in this story. But then, these are the ponies who threw a mentally ill filly into Tartarus, so it’s par for the course.

Look forward to see this
Continue!

well hundred years no food no one to talk to and the sadness have probably caused her to repress the memories yes luna did a thousand years on the moon but she had longer to come to terms with her immortality and she wasnt alone

If I was twilight, I would have already went savage. If you’re going to put me in a cell, I’m gonna give you a reason.

oh tia you stupid bitch thats a BAAAD MOVE!

Something told me she would want to go back.

Wait, is the colt still in a coma?

Celestia and especially Luna deserve to be in Hell, and more! For what happened to Poor Twilight!!! :flutterrage: :twilightangry2:

And Despite wanting Twilight to give some major pay back, and watch them BURN for the betrayal. She didn't do it, and is instead a Broken Shell of her past self?!

I really hope they get major Bad Karma, and want them to DIE due to their extreme guilt for imprisoning/torturing/and breaking a Innocent pony like Twilight! 😡 😠

10738570
Wait, luna was alone, wasn’t she?

I am not one of those who blame from the beginning, usually, I wait until the story develops more to have an opinion, but in this case that those responsible regrets what they did and want to repair the damage done.
I really, really, really want this story to continue, I don't want this to end like those other stories I've read that just didn't get updated anymore:fluttershysad: for once I hope this is an exception, you have my attention.

I just wish the chapters were longer, but I suppose you have a reason for that.

Out of curiosity, why did you choose anthro characters?

10738887
I thought they were the same person.

10738915
depends on the fan theory you go by some go off it being same person some go by it being a possession by malevolent spirit others say multiple personality syndrome ah la Mr hyde

10738859
The reason my chapters tend to be shorter is because I do a lot of my writing on my phone instead of on a computer so it’s harder to judge lengths that. I also tend to simply end a chapter when I’m starting a different ‘point of view’ or focus. For example starting with a chapter focusing on Twilight’s journey and how she feels and then when I want to focus on another’s feelings or thoughts or movements essentially their part of the story I do it in a new chapter so it’s less “where did this come from”y. Not saying it’s the right thing to do but when you’re writing on your phone it’s a lot easier to organize.

The reason I chose anthro is because I have a few stories in the works and all of them aren’t anthro so for a bit of a challenge I decided to try. If people are interested I could totally do one that isn’t because that’s actually what I prefer to write.

Are the rest of the mane six still alive?

This wasn’t something an apology would be able to fix. Luna was sure that given time what had happened to Twilight would eventually get better, she may never be the same but she wouldn’t be forever broken by this, after all Luna had spent a thousand years on the moon and she had recovered given time and as an alicorn time was something Twilight had plenty of.

Luna, shut up. Don’t ever compare those two scenarios together again.

Twilight had been a forgiving pony before but that was over a hundred years ago, before she had been betrayed by everyone, before she had endured torture.

I’m sorry. WHAT?! I think I read that wrong. Do my eyes deceive me? Because, I could have sworn luna said she was locked in the dungeon for a hundred years.

It had taken the real culprit confessing right in front of them to realize they had imprisoned the wrong pony and to make matters worse he had gotten away.

Turn in your crowns, ASAP.

He was an earth pony and like all who joined the guard was wearing gold plated armor that disguised any real distinguishing features, the armor enchanted his coat to a pale white, the only thing that really gave away the difference between a regular guard and the captain was the engravings on his armor that displayed his rank.

So that’s not his actual coat color?

His name was Quick Shot and he was still getting used to the new position having just been promoted a week before. Still, no one became captain without a bit of experience even if Equestria hadn’t seen war in several centuries.

Then, what is he experienced in?

He was a true villain, monologuing and everything only while the sisters were struck with horror at the implications of what he was saying he had used the time he was talking to perform a teleport. It spurred the sisters into action, preparing for an attack and searching for where he had gone. After half an hour of searching they had found no sign of him.

So the reason he got away is because they sat there and did nothing?

They met at the spot of the initial attack and they needed to share no words. Luna would remain to watch of the evacuation of the rest of the injured. Celestia had something more important to do: Free an innocent mare.

Don’t tell me they are gonna ask for her help.

If they do ask for Twilights help then they're just stupid, and honestly, I think they'd be giving the mad bastard a means to gain further strength as no way the poor creature is ready for a fight. Heck, she may even join the guy who for all we know is gathering an army. And where Spike in all this he should still be alive or did he leave Equestria for the Dragonlands?

Were you replying to my comment?

10739600
Ohh. I asked because you didn’t hit the reply button. So when you mentioned them asking twilight for help I didn’t know if it was a coincidence or if you were replying.

No worries. Now, as for twilight teaming up with this mysterious alicorn, I highly doubt it. He’s the reason this whole thing started. So why team up with him? If anything, I can see twilight just being neutral. As for spike, he probably left ponyville to be in the dragonlands, because although there are some pros to staying in ponyville like holding on to old memories, there are also some cons like memories of twilight, which based on what we know thinks betrayed equestria.

after what twilight had gone through im hopeing she just leaves once she has a handel on her mental state again. most of her freinds and family is likely dead now so i hope she can find and make up with spike as while we dont know what was said or happend between them it would be better for twilight in the dragon lands or wherever he is the with the two who basicly tourtured her for 100 years

Why do you have the mane six on the list? If they are dead as well s her family....i don't get it.
you have the summary written they be in the story but they are DEAD!!

When and if she is released can she forgive her friends and family for not standing by her? That in the summary.

10739722
Why does Twilight need to make up with Spike? what did she do to him?

10739859
not what she did, what spike thinks she did. unless the princessess themselfs tell him that she was innocent then he likely will still think she was the criminal she was said to be. also if he is talked around then he has to come to the relisation that he let his sister be jailed and mistreated for the last 100 years.
if she was truely kept in isolation like it seems her being imprisond means she has missed alot of events like her niece growing up, her brothers death, parents deathes and her freinds deaths.

10739899
Ok but doesn;t answer the question.

why is the summary stating they are alive, when it been a hundred years?
That confuses me.

10739924
we dont know yet maby flashbacks for the 6. Flurry heart and spike could be the family refered to? but at the moment looking back i dont think it has been stated or not if her family and freinds are dead yet so maby we are looking at ponys with a longer life span? could possibly be that her parents are only elderly now and not dead.
at the end of the day we can speculate but untill we are told in the story we wont know for certin but you are right something is either an error in the summery or we will soon get something explned to us that will explane it.
what im curious about now is this new alicorn as he apparently knew what he needed to do to become an alicorn and was able to outside celestia and lunas notice so that could be a bad sign of what has happend in twilights absence.

10739579

Yeah, hope Twilight DOESN'T help these Traitorous Idiots!!!! But, I doubt she will join the guy that RUIN her life in the first place? Sci, maybe she will deal with him herself, then Torture him really badly as pay back. Then end that asshole once and for all. BUT, even after all of that. She will still WON'T forgive everypony for their Betrayal. And I hope they all DIE by the guilt and burn in Tartarus/Hell!!! :twilightangry2: 😡

He gave a cruel grin that told them exactly how much he relished what he was saying, “Twilight didn’t kill all those people. I did. I needed her out of the way while I worked on ascending and then increasing my power. I had to make sure she wasn’t around to stop me before I killed you. I was trying to get you to execute her, after all the only way to guarantee she wasn’t involved is if she wasn’t alive. I made sure to kill them slowly and painfully, I wanted her to try to save them to erase my magic and then I suppressed most of the memories from the colt she managed to save. Of course I couldn’t risk him waking up and remembering the truth so after Luna came to search for the truth he ‘succumbed to his wounds’.”

Wow! I bet those Innocent Ponies and the Colt in the afterlife will be VERY Livid, and Disappointed at the Traitorous "Princesses" for putting the WRONG Pony ( Twilight) in Prison for a FRICKIN Hundred Years. I HOPE they be become Ghosts and HAUNT the Princesses for their Failure, and for betraying the poor and innocent Twilight. :twilightangry2: :flutterrage:

Hope those Ghosts make the Princesses go to DEEP Depression, and even make them resign. Because, they definitely DON'T deserve the Crown!!!!!!!

What do you think, Author?

With how far gone Twilight seems to be mentally, did she forget how to do regular and mundane tasks?
Like how to eat.
Or her body getting used to digesting again.

She's more or less seem to be parroting behavior.

When they try to get her to eat, she ends up just chewing, and don't understand that she'll also needs to swallow the food.
Thus ending up looking like a chipmunk.

PS: I'm curious as to why I got a dislike on my comment...
Was it because you don't wish for Twilight to be so far gone mentally, or something else....?

I disagree... someone bleeping with your mind is something that you are going to find hard to figure out, especially if there are commands to make you think "Well this is normal!"
That DOES absolve them of the 99.99999999999999% of blame here and puts it on the Machiavellian villain who put those mental commands into place.

10740310
something to note is that celestia was able to check on her eventualy. so that means that the "this is normal" effect isnt overpowering and is able to be pushed aside with a good reason. i have to question if it can be pushed aside with a good reason were the guards under the same spell or were they told not to feed twilight.

Definitely the Sisters aren't to blame. If they genuinely were under a spell, it's not a case of someone voluntarily drinking, then driving and causing a disaster because they were drunk of their own free will and stupid mistakes, it's a case where someone had their food or drink spiked without their knowledge, then driving and having an accident. Any consequences are entirely the responsibility of whoever spiked their food or drink, the driver in that case is another victim.

Even though Twilight had been ‘safe’ in her cell and had not been attacked she had been targeted a hundred and fifty years ago.

I thought it was a hundred years ago, but I guess it doesn’t matter.

Twilight may not have been injured or killed by the alicorn’s hand but his actions had directly resulted in Twilight’s torture and imprisonment with the intention of having her killed. He had committed treason against the crown, every one of them, and he would pay dearly for it.

Don’t blame everything on the make alicorn. You two played a part in it, too.

Celestia winced at the reminder. It had been the first thing she had done after taking Twilight out of her cell. Cadance had quickly replied with a very long letter that amounted to an extremely angry ‘I told you so’. Celestia had no doubt she was already on a chariot to Canterlot and it would not be the last of the princess of love’s rage. Still it was anger well deserved, after all the only thing Cadance was truly guilty of was believing that Celestia would only do what was right and not coming for the trial.

Wait, if she believed her then why not come and confront twilight or something?

The trial had been short, Celestia admitted to herself, looking back on it. Even in cases where a pony confessed to the crime it usually lasted a few days. It took time to go over all the evidence and how remorseful the perpetrator was. There were quite a few things Celestia usually considered before reaching a verdict and the sentencing. Yet it hadn’t happened for this case. For whatever reason all she could remember about the trial itself was wanting it over with. She had a few vague memories of speaking with Spike the night before the beginning of the trail, promising that there would be character witnesses, that Twilight’s various heroic acts would be taken into consideration for sentencing and yet she hadn’t called for them. Luna hadn’t either, she realized, now that Celestia really thought about it. They had called for the evidence to be brought forth, they had talked about it for an appallingly short time, then they had asked what Twilight had to say for herself.

So they were hypocrites.

“But Twilight was only supposed to be imprisoned for two hundred years. Eventually we would have let her out, we should have discussed the matter a few times over the years like we do for any criminal before their release. Yes her imprisonment was significantly longer than a standard ponies but we always discuss their progress, keep an eye on them to see if they’re still a danger to society. We didn’t even keep a close enough eye on her to see if she was eating. We didn’t even give her anything to do . Anyone placed in confinement is supposed to be allowed to keep themselves mentally stimulated since they can’t have physical activity, we can’t risk letting them out. Twilight was left in her cell with nothing .”

Just turn in your f*cking crowns.

The younger princess began searching more recent memories. Celestia was right. Something wasn’t adding up. All the guards knew the protocol so how had Twilight slipped through their fingers? Cadance and Shining Armor had repeatedly asked for updates about Twilight, even if they weren’t allowed to speak with her but every time they were brushed off and forgotten about. For the first few years Spike had almost incessantly demanded to speak with Twilight and then to see her but he was redirected to a guard to deal with. Twilight was supposed to be locked away and forgotten about. Almost compulsively. Why?

Why not just check on her yourselves?

“Send for a doctor.” Luna demanded suddenly.

Why?

There could be only one reason for their behavior. Someone had been using mind magic on them and neither had noticed or if they had they didn’t remember it. The fact that they were now noticing the behavior meant it was trigger based. One to activate it and another to remove it. The most troubling matter was that Alicorns had a natural resistance to mind magic, in order to pull something like this off it had to be someone close to them who was with them most of the day. It painted a sinister picture. The royal guard had been compromised.

So we got/had ourselves a traitor?

I want to make this clear. This is not a chapter erasing blame. Even IFCelestia and Luna were put under some spell (or maybe just getting too old) they are still responsible for their actions. Just like if someone got drunk and then drove a car and got in an accident it would still be their fault. Their decision making skills may be impaired but they still made the decision. This is a chapter moving the plot forward nothing more. You may still freely continue to hate/blame the sisters or you may decide they deserve some slack after reading this. I won't judge or tell you how to feel either way because even as the author I both sympathize and rage against the mistreatment.

Despite that. How can anyone "Sympathize" with the Sisters that F***** UP Twilight's Life, breaking her physically, Mentality, and emotionally.

I am still going onward for them to be PUNISHED by Bad Karma or something?! Or let Twilight to NEVER forgive them forever.

Edit: Why do I get a dislike? Those two had it coming for ruining Twilight's Life. NO Apologies or "Can you forgive me" excuse BS can fix Twilight, now.

10740411
54,750 Days/365 gets you 150. I used the number of days during the imprisonment chapters because I wanted to emphasize just how long she was locked up with no one and nothing. From now on when referring to her time in prison I will be going by years like most people refer to the passing of a long time. For instance you would say I’m ‘x’ days old you’d say I’m ‘x’ years old but if you were doing something unpleasant for a decent amount of time you’d probably refer to the time in days like ‘I’ve been stuck in the mine for ‘x’ days’.

10740416
I sympathize because if someone was forcing me to do something against my will I’d be just as ticked as I would be if I was wrongfully locked up. I’m not sure if it was clear and coming chapters will describe just exactly what the spell did but essentially the spell was supposed to emphasize specific thoughts and feelings while suppressing others of the casters choosing. So say someone did something that was mildly irritating to you and it’s something you’d normally just move on from but suddenly it’s all you can think about and you can’t think ‘huh this normally wouldn’t bug me that much’ instead all you can focus on is revenge for this stupid thing. It’s not exactly the same because Twilight spent 150 YEARS in prison but it was sort of like ‘it’s not important’ ‘she’s not important’ ‘don’t think about it’ ‘focus on what she did’. they’re decisions were their own except unless something was vitality important to them their conscience wouldn’t be loud enough to say “hey this is wrong”

10740347
I remark that it’s similar to drinking not exactly the same. The reason being that the spell wasn’t meant to completely alter their behavior just their focus of certain thoughts and feelings. They weren’t able to fight it off because it wasn’t ‘important’ enough to them and that’s where they get blame.

If someone else is controlling your emotions and actions, then you have zero accountability. You reactions are not your own. Add to that the fact they were made not thing think about it meaning they could not come to their senses and correct it.

10740483
Then, why did it say 100 years at first? Was that an error?

10740493
Are you talking about the guards or the princesses?

Hm, this is a twist. I imagine the male alicorn has been disguised as a guard and using his position to poison the Princesses’ minds. On the one hand, that at least makes the princesses more sympathetic. On the other, I think this reveal robs this story of some of its drama. I think I’d have preferred if all the guilty party had done was frame Twilight, but the trial, isolation, and neglect had been deliberately done by the Sisters because of their anger. It would make this story tragic in a very Greek sense, and would lead to some interesting character development where the Sisters would be confronted with their own capacity for cruelty. It would make our sadistic villain become a kind of foil for the Princesses, in that he tortures ponies for fun, while they do it for “justice.” Indeed, this would raise some interesting ethical dilemmas about the value of punitive punishment, and how far it can slide from “justice”, to becoming as bad as the crime being punished.

That said, this is your tale. I look forward to seeing how all of this plays out.

10740668
I agree with this. By making it that they've been manipulated the entire time, it now practically absolves them of any guilt that they have for what they've done to Twilight. It feels like this has been done to make it easier for Twilight to forgive them once the story is done because "They were all manipulated into this."
