This story is a sequel to RSL-047

The war is over.

The inhabitants may be gone, but the structures and the stories that came with them still live to tell the tale.

Journey across the Equestrian countryside. Take in the sights, learn the stories, and try not to breathe in the fumes.

A RSL-047 continuation, exploring more of what's left of the once-great nation of Equestria.

Interesting story I’m not quite sure what to make of it

This looks like a good story! :pinkiehappy:

I'm not sure that I buy the premise or the assertion but I can't fault the atmospheric execution. I guess I'm cynical. It seems like someone tried to be that pretentious lout Ulysses, pretended they didn't know what things were, and stapled "magic" over "Big MT mad science" and "Equestria" over "America." It's Fallout expanded universe fiction with the names changed and the serial numbers filed off.

This was honestly pure scenery porn and I love it.

This is so wonderfully atmospheric, and I get huge Lost Cities vibes with each passing chapter. Please keep up this good work. I really do wish that there was more of a way to learn the macro narrative behind things, though. How did Equestria fall, and where are the characters we all know and love? I suppose that's one of the disadvantages to telling a story through the background ponies.

Other than that, I'd really suggest a) keeping your formatting choices consistent (this chapter has a quote box, the other doesn't) and b) adding a sci-fi tag. There isn't a whole lot in here that has technology, items, and so on that's fitting for pony canon, which is a scattered, odds-and-end low-tech fantasy world.

As haunting as it is beautiful.. the automated systems fighting a war that ended a long time ago.

I did so enjoy fortress and it's followup. Such a good animation.

And in some ways this piece was inspired by that sort of feeling.

This is some grade-fuckin'-A description and atmosphere. Moar please.

Thanks friend! And yes, there will be more Soon™.

this sounds like soemthing out of the Fallout Equestria series. with the abandoned Naval battleships, the irradiated lands and abandoned buildings
