Yeah, Anon-A-Miss is one of the few comic arcs I've completely avoided reading precisely because of all of the problems pointed out

To be fair, the writing MLP fandom is full of damaged individuals.
That's why you have a fuckton of suicide fics centered around Wallflower, Sunset and everyone else.
Also tons of Pinkie slasher/torture stories.
Well, if writing this kind of shit helps them cope with life instead of ending it, so be it. Doesn't mean you have to like that.

I honestly don’t recall seeing any comments that hold that comic on a pedestal. Most people love to write it because it is so obvious it could have been better, and most of the detractors of the various stories mostly just want to express their distaste about how many Anonamiss fics there are. Again, this is just my general observation, I’m sure there are many that have entirely different reasons for either writing, reading, or hating those stories.

Really, the same thing goes for those Dark Porn 'fics, like Fall of Equestria and CMC's New Lives and whatnot. Some people like to write possessive and cruel stuff like that to get their darker urges out; some people like to read them for the same reason.
It's much better to write and read enslavement stories than it is to actually enslave someone; the former hurts absolutely no-one. As a result, stories like that have a reason to exist, even if the majority of visitors don't like 'em.

I'm either scared or I like it, but I don't know about Twilight's forewarning. I've seen a story where Twilight ended up destroying the Earth and taking back Sunset to her world, or Twilight took the humans back and enslaved them as ponies and Celestia didn't mind. I don't blame her for being pissed, not sure about going Chef Ramsey. I know at times the EGs around Sunset make very bad choices and decisions and jump on the first rumor they hear, but my theory on that is the school is in Japan in the old Mugen region where they had the nutso Professor Tomoe, the Witches 5, and in Ptilol's spell before they went zombie like, the students already had a zombie like closed up attitude where I'm sure before being freed by Sailor Moon, the EGs were quiet and reserved and gone separate after Sunset started rumors. Just being an Andy Rooney.

I like that slight reference to alternate worlds where a Sunset Shimmer probably done them things and even WORSE. It's good to see a Sunset realizing that she'd hurt herself, the people that cared in Ponyville like I'm sure Celestia along with Twilight. I just wish in a world like that that they could see their actions to Sunset are horrible and wrong and it hurts her.
I had my doubts about this until that last line. This is all sorts of advanced level awesomeness.

I think the main problem is there are so many holes in the concept. Phones can be hacked. And Sunset was vicious before that but she was also very careful until her back was against the wall or it became a matter of pride. I wouldn’t mind them being turned against her but it should have taken more effort, or at least varying degrees of effort for the girls to each reach the conclusion that she had betrayed them. Then again maybe I’m just not in the right headspace. I approach everything extremely logically, such that more emotional reactions tend to blindside me.
