I must say that I really like this story, not to mention the comedy and the plays of words so simple that I could finally understand them better: D, in any case the theme of the story fascinates me, and I will honestly wait impatiently for the next chapter. If you allow me, I think I can share that information with you. As you know Shining Armor is a resident of both Canterlot and the Crystal Empire, both, due to his status as Prince and Captain of the Guard. Now. I must say that it is in charge of both guards of the nations, because The Crystal Empire is an independent kingdom (They let you see it in the comics and in the special that Laurent did for the day of the dead special a few years ago) outside of That, it is confirmed that Shining Armor is in both guards since on many occasions he is seen in the crystal empire wearing his captain's armor, not to mention that when Tirec had returned for the first time, he was on guard at the Canterlot palace performing their respective turn. So we can say that it is completely CANON that he is in charge of both guards.

Also spoilers for the last episode of mlp, but Gallus joins the guard and eventually becomes the Captain of the Royal Guard, and since Equestria never mingled itself with other nations, he's probably the first non-pony guard to become a Captain of the Royal Guard.

Normally not, but like Moonlight said, 'who cares what the others think about us'. She's a high ranking pony, and she could go wherever the hay she wants. Not that the official rules of Equestria say anything, as both mares and stallions go to the military, nearly half and half, and the Equestrian military found it a bit stupid to be segregating ponies on gender, because the military in this world... isn't in its best condition.

Both. Like Rainbow said, the military was just super incompetent during the Changeling Invasion, or in any invasion really, they'd just surrender most of the time and they all depend on the Captain of the Guard as their main communication, if he's knocked out (and he's always one of the first targets) the entire military spirals out of control and surrenders. And also No Nut November caused the military to spiral out of control due to many stallions unable to fill their roles, especially if a Cum-Pocalypse occurs. The Military had become weak because of No Nut November as well.

Considering that Griffonstone used to be a powerful nation (and perhaps ally of Equestria) after the fall of that kingdom the whole place was a wreck, so Shining finds it happy that after perhaps a thousand years a griffon joined the military, or in general any non-pony race joining the Equestrian military. I'll just leave it because it's just my interpretation of the series.

Where to start? Now we know the consequences that occur when a pony or stallion reaches orgasm. It's interesting and hilarious, because Discord, in a somewhat clumsy but clever way, had already planned the long-term destruction of Equestria.
Now we have a little more knowledge on the matter. I still have questions, one of them would be, would this affect any male of any species? or just the ponies? being the case, what would happen to the Futa mares? will they be equally affected? or are there additional effects for them? In any case a last question since Gallus appeared and was not affected by the No Nut. The other equine species are immune like the Kirins and Hippogtyphs?

I like how you're already thinking, however if he was gelded, he wouldn't have been able to have enough strength to reach the rank he is now, he'd be a messenger or a servant, and there's actually another reason. If you know how Discord is, you might be lucky enough to guess the true reason early on. Congrats on at least giving a possible reason, I was about to choose that option but I had to think how Discord would think and decided a more... 'entertaining' option.
