Still got some errors in the chapter though. You should REALLY get your editors to look at this again. I don't have time to go through the whole thing (because I would if I did.) Here's just a few I got in the first few paragraphs:

Change the hyphen to an em dash (—). You can do this (on a windows computer) by holding Alt and typing 0151 on a numpad then releasing Alt.
Remove the hyphen and add a space between all and black. Change 'against' to 'again'.
Remove the parts highlighted in red.
Remove the comma, change the hyphen to em dash.
Random apostrophe. Use a comma to introduce the dialogue.
I'm probably wrong about some this stuff and missed some things out of what I have read; I'm no editor. But you did have editors looking at this and they aren't doing their job too well. No offense.
