Interesting story. I am familiar with a music video that your fic is based on.
I have a complicated view on dark themes and horror in general. The idea of an Evil Twilight has potential, which is why I checked your fic out.
It’s very well written, dark and suspenseful. Evil Twilight full of a passion for knowledge and totally ruthless. And Twilight terrified.
A few details aren’t my cup of tea. A few details don’t feel like canon. Do you want me to elaborate?
The experimentation is dark and creepy and part where Evil Twilight tampers with Twilight’s memories was very suspenseful.
I am glad that the the language is clean and nothing is suggestive. A few details are dark and disturbing, but not explicit. You have my Thanks.
I do feel the story is incomplete and needs more chapters or a sequal. Not innately a happy ending. But evil at least getting their just desserts. Well that’s my opinion anyway.

And to my question, I didn't know if you were going to do a sequel or continuation. I think you should.
My question is can I do a variant of your fic?
There is a rule on fanfiction websites: don't copy other people's stuff. Of course what constitutes belonging to someone?
Originality seems to have gone the way of the dodo. For example, there various fics with the Dazzlings being reformed. Some have similarities, like a few have them be homeless, or can't eat real food, thus are starving. A few have them have skills to survive in society. These are just a tiny examples.
Arguably I can take ideas from different stories and make them different enough that I won't be violating the copyright infringement rule. If there are many fics that are similar, I don't need permission. But if a story is unique I prefer to ask permission to avoid messy situations.
Your story is unique because Evil Twilight is original. Yes, Midnight Sparkle is evil, but yours stands out from that obviously. I have checked fics for evil twilight and...couldn't find anything remotely like yours.
So can I do a variant of your fic if I get the chance? Second, your fic is based off that Youtube video, so am I asking the wrong person for permission? God bless
