I never liked considering TPS canon but it's still is since it's a prequel to Borderlands 2.

I honestly could've lived without knowing why Handsome Jack turned evil.

Well, that's highly STUPID for the Ponies to not let the Ex-Vault Hunter to PROTECT them. By Killing the obvious Criminals/Gangs/Murders/Rapists/Killers/Psychos/etc..

Otherwise, they would EASILY DIE from over HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS ( Or even Millions, Billions, to even Trillions by what you have said in the Introduction. ) of Criminals and Psychos of various degrees.

Applejack flinched from Claptrap’s nonchalant mention of murder again before saying, “Can’t he just spare them-”
