I really like stories that explore these little concepts the show never had time to. It's a good question, what would happen to a population who were used to having their dreams safeguarded when the one who does it suddenly goes away? I don't think I've seen a story tackle this before.
I loved the bitterness of the ending too. Lost potential, when delivered like this, is a gut-punch of a theme, and you handled it really well.

I loved this take on Luna's banishment - really cool to see a talent that Luna has that Celestia just can't match. Usually Celestia outshines poor Luna on every level.
