Twilight indulges Rarity in a silly superstition, and learns to believe in fairy tales.

Awww...! That is so sweet!

In a purely scientific way, of course.:raritywink:

When this popped up in my feed I can honestly say I expected it to be a Pinkie Pie story, still good though.

"There's no magical phenomenon that could facilitate some kind of transfer like that, no matter how strong her intent was."

Pretty big words for little Ms. "Everypony everywhere has a special magical connection with her friends, maybe even before she's met them. If you're feeling lonely and you're still searching for your true friends, just look up in the sky. Who knows? Maybe you and your future best friends are all looking at the same rainbow."

This was adorable

Awww. Such a nice SoL.

Hah! Rarity, you cheating little cheat, you! :twilightoops: :duck:

Cue The Monkees.

"Because Golden wanted to find true love more than anything, the winds carried her lantern towards the love of her life so that they could be together forever."
"There's no magical phenomenon that could facilitate some kind of transfer like that, no matter how strong her intent was."

Just going to point out that Cadence was born a pegasus.

Cadance spent years debunking these sorts of superstitions and exposing charlatans trying to prey on desperate souls.

Oh. Well then. :twilightsheepish:

Delightful bit of fluff. Especially Rarity hedging her bets. Thank you for it.

RariTwi, I ship you :-)

This is wonderful. I missed a wonderful speed contest then.

Twilight's statistical attack on the likelyhood of landing on nobel property, and then meeting that pony later on, is spot on; additionally, if there is a cultural belief of finding love in a cutie mark previously seen, that will lead to giving that pony a chance to impress. So it's definitely a cultural thing, at least, until Rarity shows what determination can do.

Twilight already knew who she was in love with. She didn't need some silly story to tell her.

Ahh. So, Twilight has one intended; Rarity is going to mess with her, and turn it into a triangle/pair of arcs?

This will not end happily for everyone, unless you go the herd route.

Short, sweet, and high impact.

I love it.

I could have read a few more words exalting rarity from twi.

But a panic contest made it tight and highly enjoyable.

This was really cute! I didn't expect Rarity's action at the end, but it's perfectly Rarity.

squeeeee :rainbowkiss:

Greetings. Your reading is complete and can be found here. I hope you enjoy.
