Like your writing but the fic grates on my nerves, alot.
At the point where Rainbow confronted AJ and she wasnt listening i would have punched her in the face friends or not. Even if she was gay it was definetly not her choice to put it out for others to ridicule and point at.
Its one of the greatest pet peeves i have when another jokes around somebodys sexuality to the point where it doesent matter if it is the truth or not and you cant do anything about it. And the worst thing? It was done by your "friends". Never do this to your friend or you will lose them, it has to be their choice to come out if there is something.
Sorry author but unless something changes within next chapter and Ranbow atleast explodes on the others quite harshly to get the point across im dropping the fic.
Yeah, glad you decided to go with this. So far it's fun and with just the right amount of frustrating to keep the plot moving but not be painful or forced.

I mean feel free to do whatever you want. If you don’t like it that’s fine, but I’ll at least explain why I wanted Applejack to seem clueless. I feel like out of all the mane 6, AJ would be the most talkative and not listen to anypony (except Pinkie) and I know it’s a stretch for everypony else to not listen to Fluttershy and Rainbow, but in order for it to work, I needed them to seem deadset. That’s why I had it be a few weeks before this started, because I said (although didn’t really emphasize) that they all saw them doing small things and jumped the gun on what they could mean. I have friends that do it all the time. That’s why I did what I did, and if you truly don’t think the next chapter redeems what you thought, then that’s fine.

I’ve explained my point of view and you’ve explained yours, so maybe it will be too forced like you thought, but like I mentioned I have a plan for the next chapter. What happens might be slightly forced, but if you can buy into it then I don’t think anything will be forced after that

Heh, amusing, specially the end, that's not gonna make things any easier. Was expecting Spike to act as their waiter, in part for spying purposes.
Another amusing one kind of like this I so 'Pair the spares', though that resolves itself much faster, amusing to have a bit longer if a dilemma.
I suppose the next steps will likely be to try Dating some pony else, or give in and just accept that they have to go out now.
Waiting for Twi or Rarity to mess up and get an announcement about FS and RD in the paper, and then the ribbing RD will get from the wonder bolts over it.

Nice. I actually think you did well in limiting the cringy romcom/sitcom "this is the only solution that makes sense" sort of thing. It might have benefitted from a little more explanation between the two that, yes, they had in fact directly stated the fact to their friends already and that hadn't worked. Random thought that you don't have to put in though: maybe actually allude to other plans they might have had, specifically one where they pretend to have a "break up" to end the rumors quickly, blatantly, and publicly. But then of course mention that Fluttershy couldn't be that mean to Rainbow Dash even if it was pretend. Just a little more context to show that they did consider more options to make the solution a little more believable. But like I said, this only pokes at my past my suspension of disbelief but doesn't come anywhere close to breaking it, so it works as is.

I’m a shipper of the two personally, but I like writing confusion stories more than anything (as evidenced in some of my other stories)
I know this is cliche, but I really hope this story ends with the two realizing they really like each other. That's the only reason I'm staying with it.

But she wanted to go through with the plan to make Rainbow happy and ended up with a major reaction and thus locked herself away.
