This is why were can't have nice things.People blatantly make the canon characters look bad in order to fuel their own ego for their literal self inserts. And look, a self-insert isn't terrible, there are some pretty good stories with self-inserts... None of them involve saiyans., though.

To be fair it is hard to write mlp and dragon ball with the way both shows work and operate, for instance I had to completely rework how both worlds worked to be able to even exist in the same world as each other without being stupidly OP and have weak villains... it was the only way I could get it to work properly in me and my friends roleplay.

I understand the reasoning behind wanting to have a crossover with the two, both appeal to a younger demographic after all, and Dragon Ball Z is a very influential show on a developing mind... The problem is that both shows are pretty incompatible in terms of word building, which you brought up as well.
Honestly, this would be just another self-insert power fantasy (Because it is.) but that line in particular massively pissed me off because the author is implying that stallions are inherently weaker than mares solely based on the fact that the protagonists are female... It just feels blatantly disingenuous for the sake of the protagonist to "be better". This isn't even about power, this is just straight-up sexist towards stallions and honestly if you need to go that far to make the Element of Loyalty be straight-up sexist to make your protagonist look "better" than that's just bad writing.
This isn't even about power any more, it's just writing characters badly!

Yeah I see what your getting at and I dont really like that comment she made either but its not exactly like you can tell the author to change it if he has a plan for that to lead somewhere or be a part of a character development... though as you said he did it to make his character look better and that maybe extremely true but he may also have another reason behind that comment she made but again I it's what you said is the reason why he said it but I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt until I see otherwise (which I may end up not seeing him do anything with it)
As it is that whole thing she said was utter garbage and will continue being so until he either has that lead into something or just sit there and just be for the reasons you again stated...
Also yeah mlp and dbz are incompatible as a hole but if you do a little work you can fix it amd still follow some of the same formulas for instance I kept the fact that they can move at speeds faster than the naked eye it's just some villains have a higher durability than others as well as having magic and spells to help them out which throw the dbz characters off and disoreantate them quite a bit and makes it possible to beat them such as this one time in the rp I have with a friend with it who had tireks magic sucking ability be adapted to also work like moro after he figured out what type of energy source he was fighting against only it was a much weaker variant of it, how the protagonists came out on top was a mixture of using the elements )as some canon stuff still happens) and the dbz characters distracting him enough to get hit by them, they were keeping him distracted and fighting him which allowed the elements to unlock the chest and use the ultra whatever rainbow forms (or whatever you call them)
What he should do and what he will do is completely different but what I say he should do is rework this formula a bit I mean I have the same thing happening in my rp world and the females are more dominant then males but it's not like "stallions are weak!" Kind of deal it's more along the lines of today's structures and views on how the male is proceved in roles in the world only as females with most ponies being alright with the males doing their own thing and others being highly sexist... but you dont really see the sexist ones that often just for the sake of having characters look better...
