“There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.” - Patrick Rothfuss

Applejack is a growing filly - and young fillies need their space. That's why Bright Mac decided to build a treehouse in the back of the property for his daughter, so she and her friends could play with a little bit of privacy.

Fate says he won't be the one to finish it.

Special thanks to Noble Thought, who's Under A Tree in large part inspired this little piece.

right in the feels

I can't read this due to the summary making me sob, but I'll upvote it.

Good Grief. Right at "Four now, Not Six. Never again" I was tearing up. Had to pause. But damn, good job. Have my Upvote. My fav.

Man, this is just...painful.

I just thought of a sequel:

Big Mac completes the treehouse.

However, Applejack wouldn't want to play in it, thinking it killed her father.

The treehouse remains abandoned, until Applejack manages to overcome her grief. After which, she gives it to her sister for the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

Well done, author.

Well done.

Putting this one in every Group I'm admin.

Now this is quite the read! Through and through, this fic gives off some deep feels that are more than just well-executed! Hope ya didn't mind, but I had to make a lil' reading of this heartstring-tugging fic!

Oh, well, wow! Just as it was last time, it's a huge honor and quite unexpected. Thank you very much!

In the show, Applejack got sent away to live with relatives and didn't return until getting her cutie mark. The treehouse would have gone unused untill Apple Bloom was old enough.

This is some good writing, and it really made for a great read. Well done.

Nice work. For such a short word count, the fic really hits the notes it was aiming for. Thanks for this.
