Pretty cute little snippet, but there's one thing I want to highlight:
Generally speaking, to me at least, when you end one paragraph where someone spoke and then start the next paragraph with more dialogue, it implies that another character is speaking in the new paragraph. That's generally what you end a paragraph for if the dialogue's short and it implies the kind of back and forth that two or more people would have in a conversation. Every time this happened, I was briefly confused because I assumed the other character was talking even though it made no sense to be saying thos things.
Still, other than that formatting hiccup, the whole thing was pretty nice. Could probably get a fair bit more out of this particular worry and it did seem like a bit of a quick turnaround, but I still like it.
