Once I was on FanFiction writing stories. Now I'm on FIMfiction writing stories. So much has changed... (Ko-fi)

For those looking for an update, I'll be starting Act II some time this year. Sorry, but college is kicking me pretty hard and I have to focus. Until then, cheers everyone.

Scattered around Ponyville, multiple ponies begin to wake up as humans. Mixed in with them are four actual humans that have no idea where they are. As everyone finds out, they have no memory of what has happened, why they are human, or even what is going on around them.

Ponyville, save for the survivors-turned-human, is entirely abandoned and, what's more concerning, it is sealed within a massive magical barrier. With no memory to go on, everyone trapped inside must band together to find out what has happened.

The amazing cover art is done by Mix-Up! Here's their YouTube (speedpainting!) & DeviantArt too!

Edited is done by a friend of mine who wants to be known simply as 'The Editor.'

This story is a standalone sequel of A Brony Life; a story I originally wrote years ago. However, this is a standalone story and it's not required to read/know the original story. Any references, characters, or plot lines that come up from that story will be newly introduced in this story.

Thank you to everyone who messaged me during the time between this and the original story. A lot of your personal messages meant so much to me.

I'm guessing this is either Joe or maybe Zeke were introduced to. Anyways so glad this story is (kind of) back.

It is Joe. His name is never mentioned since he and the girl (Applebloom) never actually introduce themselves. His name is given later on.

Also, Blitz is going to have a different name than the original story. That'll be the only major change to him, however.

Thanks for checking out the story!

Cool also I was wondering why did Morgue hate Zeke that was never explained before it ended. My theory the doctors were too busy working on Zeke when his house fell on top of him. And that's why the leg of the guy who got it stuck in a bear trap when the honorable thieves first met each other couldn't be saved.

Neat idea having the story be told from the perspective of someone who isn't the human being introduced.

This story is (somewhat) a sequel of A Brony Life; a story I originally wrote on FanFiction.

Why not put it on this website?

10324748
Well, the short answer: It's very long (700,000+ words) and very faulty.

Longer answer: I started writing it when I was fifteen and had no writing experience. If I put it up here, I wouldn't be satisfied until I rewrote so much of it. And it is so long with about 100 chapters and hundreds of thousands of words. If there was ever an interest I might. But until then, this story is going to be the re imagining/sequel of A Brony Life.

Wait, is spike a human as well or is he still a dragon? Either way leads to interesting results.

He is still a dragon. And a dapper one at that. :moustache:

Ah, a continuation of the first fanfic I've ever read. And one that got me into fanfics in general. Can't wait.

Woah, an interesting start there! At first I was wondering if the girl really was Apple Bloom. And since it apparently is, how and why is she a human now? Definitely glad I got to reading this =)

At first when I read about pink stuffing stuff, I thought of Discord and his pink cotton candy clouds that rain chocolate milk. All of this seemed so random, so chaotic, so of course I thought of him first. Instead it ends up being... oh no; multiple Pinkie Pies?? A possible reference to when Pinkie Pie briefly has chaos magic or becomes a Princess of Chaos or something? Though I'm leaning more towards maybe she (or a clone of hers that initially escaped) cloned herself and now they're still ponies and the original is elsewhere. I still think Discord has something to do with this. Why is only Ponyville and parts around it like the Everfree domed off? Where are the mane six? And human CMC? So many questions, no answers (yet) from what I can see.
Another great chapter!

Hm.. So Pinkie cloned herself again; or is it possible everyone was turned into a human or a Pinkie Pie, while trapped inside the dome? And I'm a bit concerned now that neither Big Mac nor Apple Bloom have mentioned Applejack, yet they've both mentioned Granny Smith at this point. Have they forgotten about.. wait.. in an earlier chapter with Blitz and Spike, neither mentioned Twilight! Same goes for Shining Armor! This doesn't bode well if no one remembers the mane six (so far).
And I think you're doing a fine job of writing the CMC, pretty on the mark with Apple Bloom, haven't heard much of Scootaloo so far, and Sweetie Belle is pretty good too. I mean, she's often called the "dictionary" of their group for a reason, being that she knows/understands things others her age don't apparently. Agreed on what you said before in an AN, Sweetie Belle can be difficult to write. She's fun loving and almost carefree, being that she's still young, yet still has moments of maturity that AB and Scoots don't (as much).

10378939
I think all the CMC have their moments of maturity but you're right that Sweetie tends to have them a little more often. Scootaloo will have her time as well, just not right away.

I hope you're enjoying the story so far! And don't worry, the answers will start coming soon.

You should go with shorter chapter length. I hate it when a chapter is super long and take the turn of my time. And yes you should bring back the question of the chapter.
Answer: No I haven't

The more I've been working on smaller chapters, the better I feel the framing gets. Plus they're easier to bust out and will probably fit better when college starts back up.

I'll probably still have longer chapters in the future. Ones that can't really be split into smaller ones. But they'll probably be fewer in numbers and not one after the other.

Easy it's BlackJack she's so great that she manages to be best pony even though she's a character from a fanfiction and not the show.

The Goat Legion they seem much cooler and less annoying.

Lyra she's cute has a cute name is my favorite color plays a classy instrument and loves humans.

10468009
Nice pick!
That said though, you may either love this next chapter or hate it. I don't write Lyra often but she'll be here this time around. XD

10468641
I'm Excited I love tell you portrayed Lyra in a brony life. I also really liked your angle about bonbon sharing her fascination of humans just not as much. Normally I read about her being annoyed by Lyras Passion.

10468675
I always imagined Bon Bon getting a little frustrated from time to time but still listening in on Lyra's stories. I mean, at minimum, they're roommates and best friends (again, at minimum). Besides, Lyra needs at least somepony else to have some interest in humans. It's lonely to be so right all the time. :ajsmug:

Vampires just as swab in mysterious as they are deadly.

10507018
A good vampire's always a great choice. I never really think about them much nowadays. I think the interest kinda faded for a lot of people since that one book series.

Looks at last two words of chapter. Sees no profanity tag. Literally unreadable. Banned.

All the birds they got the quills from are heavily endangered. Driven to extinction from the high quill demand. The Quill and Sofa's store is one of the only places that can sell it legally, of course the government enacted a law to make it so they could only sell so much. At least within the law. In the door behind the counter piled high to the roof is hundreds of quills plucked from nearly dead and endangered birds. If you know the right somebody, there's enough quills for you and your family. Easiest way to grab some supply, aside from of course the black market.

A deep sigh followed. “ ¡Leches! Another crazy! ”

"Milks! Another crazy!"

Still writing amazing stories even after all this time.

For the QotC i have made a lot of paper air planes, from trick planes to a triplane, but my go to is a simple fighter, and i usually get it to go about 20 to 30 feet.

It's been a trip down memory pain for me rereading the last few chapters of ABL, before starting here. And your work is still amazing. Keep writing my friend.

I can't wait to see what's next.
