Thank you for reading and your critique. I don’t think the characters were that different from normal, but to each their own I guess. And Twilight was a bit stern ( I wouldn’t say ‘unpleasant‘ ) with Spike at the beginning because he was goofing off a bit... like he is sometimes in the show. She also has the pressure of just ascending the throne, so you could expect her being a bit anxious. Anyway, have a good day!

I disagree.
Twilight was perfectly in-character throughout. Nameless, unseen side characters overlooking/misinterpreting certain orders is not the same has holding an idiot ball for plot-progression, and by this point in her arc she should be more pragmatic than innocent when dealing with villains. Personally, I like to think it was Discord himself who ground them to dust and that that it was his laugh at the end. I’ve always liked my Discord on the “evil” end of his spectrum.
Also, Twilight’s always been rather snappish.
