"Be good to yourself, because nobody else has the power to make you happy."

E

In order to create the statue of her and her friends seen at the beginning of 'The Last Problem', Twilight makes a big decision, which was destined to have far bigger ramifications than she thought possible...

To put it mildly now.

and 1000 years later the elements of harmony were relesed from their improsonment by the tyrinical twilight sparkel

not even those three deserved that fate :pinkiesick:

Oh yeah, with great power, comes blah, blah, blah.... other than giving Cozy Glow a mental evaluation, the other two (Chrysalis and Tirek) had three strikes against them, soooo, whoops!:twilightsheepish:

Good story. Morbid. :pinkiecrazy:
But good!:pinkiehappy:

Bwhaha. :derpyderp1:

Twilight probably agrees. :twilightoops:

Hence the 'Dark' tag. And thanks for reading! :duck:

I thought this was going to be about Twilight turning her friends to stone.

10307766
I think that would take OOC-ness to new heights :rainbowderp:

You're right... They deserved FAR worse than this.

Dang, Deadpan, that was dark. Depressing and morbid. Not at all what I expected. But it was a great story, so have an upvote!

Uh, morion87? Could you just chillax for a second? No need to be so harsh about your opinion. You couldʼve calmly told us your comment.

Thanks. I kind of expected this kind of varied reaction, to be honest. I'm trying to vary between dark and humorous stories right now, to suit both sides of my personality. Call it the Jekyll & Hyde complex, if you like. :pinkiehappy: :pinkiesick:

My pleasure. Dishing out compliments is what I do!

This is one thing I can get pashionent about. It's not directed at anyone. Just Hasbro, and the sad excuse that was Season 9. To me anyway.

I had assumed all the statues were going to be like Discord.

Lesson number one: Never assume anything until you’ve read the story... :rainbowwild:

Uh, okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and thatʼs alright. But just try not to scream out yoir opinions, ʼkay? Makes you seem like a jerk (which Iʼm fairly certain youʼre not).

Starting to think there may be another variant on the Mean 6 in Twilight's future, if the revial from stone thing goes as it used to.

Regardless, if Equestria could get over the Storm King being smashed, I'm certain they can do so for the trio that laid waste to more than just two cities. On several timelines' fronts.

Nice story, mate.

10308201
True. Just struck me as odd that I had a theoretically darker assumption than the end result.

Thank you for reading and your critique. I don’t think the characters were that different from normal, but to each their own I guess. And Twilight was a bit stern ( I wouldn’t say ‘unpleasant‘ ) with Spike at the beginning because he was goofing off a bit... like he is sometimes in the show. She also has the pressure of just ascending the throne, so you could expect her being a bit anxious. Anyway, have a good day!

I disagree.
Twilight was perfectly in-character throughout. Nameless, unseen side characters overlooking/misinterpreting certain orders is not the same has holding an idiot ball for plot-progression, and by this point in her arc she should be more pragmatic than innocent when dealing with villains. Personally, I like to think it was Discord himself who ground them to dust and that that it was his laugh at the end. I’ve always liked my Discord on the “evil” end of his spectrum.

Also, Twilight’s always been rather snappish.

Oh yeah the evil trio. Always wonder what the statue was in the future

...And if she had, she may have heard an evil chuckle coming from nearby.

Who was that?

I believe it's called 'leave it up to the reader'... :raritywink:

That's what I thought the story would lead to, as well.
