Young Trixie wants to find her way in Canterlot's highest school. Her father wants their next show to go off with a bang. Both get their wish.

This won third in the Quills and Sofa Speedwriting Group, Father's Day contest.

Credit goes to Koren (the organizer of that contest), libertydude (the winner of it!), TMI, Red Parade, and Snow Quill for their work in making this story all it can be.

Pic credit goes to 3lorenzo3 on Derpibooru.

WARNING: Jack Pot? Well, you've got the number of vowels in your last name right, my friend.

I like little touches that convey that this takes place in the past, such as Neighsay’s rank and the mention of Sunset.

What does the spoilered-out part of the description refer to?

Effectively, the warning label is calling Jack Pot a jack-ass. Same amount of vowels in the last name.

Originally, I was planning on making this T-rated in case the joke was too easy to get, but I'd say I'm happy with where it is currently. Jack Pot's a more sympathetic but still overbearing Spoiled Rich, Trixie as the young upstart hiding within her own ego to sate her own anger at the constant stress her father places on her life...

I like how it turned out, especially with the massive amount of editor help heaped on it.

Ain't that the truth. The photo-chemical reaction of the hottest thing in Canterlot meeting the coldest thing in Ponyville would snap Equestria right in two.

I enjoyed this! We never see enough of the mane cast as fillies, and Jack Pot is woefully underused.

Decided to go for something with visible flaws this time: I owe it to you that it's so well-received. Thank you for your counsel to me on focusing on the character then building the story around them.
