Nothing went right this time around. Crap with the dragons going rogue and our world off the table as long as a changeling is in charge that is a major blow.
And Twilight. One clear thing. One death hundreds of years ago would have saved BILLIONS of lives. Chrysalis will not change. She told you that before she was stoned. You want Slipshod to stop deluding himself. How about you first. SOME VILLIANS CAN'T BE REFORMED!
Wow, that mission Slip and friends went on was like...

Then they found out about their allies and had to go...

And the Changelings are just sitting back chilling like...

Can't wait to see where this takes them! All we can say now, is this...

I've had it explained to me that the best complement a reader can give to an author is an emotional reaction. That the events and feelings written about generate a feeling and thinking in the mind of a reader. That happened here. I almost stopped reading entirely after the previous chapter, the disaster at the HSG. It went down so badly. So completely. So horrible, that I did not want to pick up the aftermath. I did not want to see how the story continued. So as chapters came out, I didn't read, because I did not want to confront what happened.
Now I have. After a few months of ignoring. And again, the emotions... well done. The aftermath, the recovery, and indeed, growth in the characters. Well done.

Whoever told you that was right. It means a lot to hear that I was able to write characters that mattered enough to the reader that their deaths affected them. I've encountered only a few authors that brought me to genuine tears with a character's death. Certainly never expected I could impact a reader like that myself one day. Thank you!
And believe me, I'm right there with you in this story. We cry for the fallen, grieve with the survivors, and hope that by the end, we can rejoice with the victors...
After last mission... Our Ling basicly lost his foodchain /ponys.
There is a lesson to be learned in this mission i guess... There are no
'Happy End'
only
'Less bad ones'
This is pony Battle Tech, so death of important, or even main characters is pretty much standard fare. That said, the recent deaths in this story have gotten me baying for blood, to have the changelings slaughtered for killing such good ponies. It's not often a story makes me eager for the death of the villain, but this is definitely one of them.

Thank you; I'm glad you're invested in the characters! Indeed, it is pony Battle Tech, and thus a great many deaths, especially ignoble one, are mandated . Here's hoping that your bloodlust is properly satisfied by the end!
