All things considered you didn't do that bad. Calamity is a bit too comprehensible (he has a strong southern accent) and Velvet is a bit too polite (she's a bit of a bitch) but otherwise this first chapter was pretty good.

Also, the in-universe name for the tower is Tenpony, not Tenpenney.

The words had hit Pip like a slug from Little Macintosh right between the eyes.

I'm currently rereading FoE and the whole conversation feels very uncanny.
Most of all, pip would not tease velvet, she shoud be ashamed speechless with "burning ears" for the whole conversation

Oh, i thought the “not in you apparently“ was Calamity talking. That would be slightly more in character. But i think he and velvet are too refined for this conversation. I imagine more allusion and less just straight out come ons.
