Flash Notion

The hardest part about writing is that nothing you make is ever as good on the page as it was inside your head... but other people don't know that, so we worry over nothing.

I legitimately feel a tingling sort of anxiety looking at this. I haven't even opened chapter one and I feel a kind of dread that comes from finales.

The Beans are back in town, baby! I loved reading this, such a thrill ride with laughs!

Yeah, the beanises were ramrod straight, but the story was full of twists.

I see what you did there.

You actually created Infinity Beans. :rainbowlaugh: Magnificent work throughout. A shame Twilight had neither the time nor context to destroy the ritual. Still, thank you for this.

This was really neat.

It's ironic that Midnight feels she's really just advancing Twilight's desires. Not just the ones she's admitted to, but all the ones she's too ashamed to admit to. In many ways, Nightmare Moon and Midnight Sparkle are sort of the evil version of an over-devoted older sister. They claim they want to make their creators happy, but do it in the most narcissistic and twisted way.

Also, Midnight missed a trick with Twilight. If she wants to prevent Twilight from plotting against her, she needs to come up with some mystical solution that allows Twilight to manifest at the same time as Midnight. But... in the "Midnight Sparkle" outfit. Give her a taste of what it means to be super-popular and hot. She might just like it. It also nicely gaslights Midnight herself. If Twilight tries to tell Sunset and the others that Midnight Sparkle is the real threat... well, she currently looks like Midnight Sparkle, dresses like her, has the fiery glasses and dark feathered wings. She's shooting herself in the foot the whole time. What are the odds that anyone would believe the girl who looks like Midnight is Twilight, and the girl who looks like Twilight is Midnight?

Finally, if she seduces Twilight, and uses some of the better options in the company on her, she might change Twilight's mind about the whole thing. Get her to buy into the whole experience, and she might even become a participant and colleague. By keeping Twilight locked in her subconscious, Midnight is creating a rival and enemy. But by seducing her with glam and experience, she might just gain an ally.

At the very least, it would be fun to watch "Midnight Sparkle" squirm as she tried to deny the experience...

People look at the kata, normally done in slow motion, and don't realize that Tai chi is a legitimate martial art. For instance, that low swooping thing? At full speed, you're scooping up a handful of sand and throwing it in your opponent's eyes in one smooth motion.

Yeah, MLP chronology is screwy enough before EQG makes it a hundred times worse. Burning down the Library of Alexandria when Star Swirl can't reasonably be over 1200 isn't even a blip on the radar.

(Not being sarcastic here)

She turned and delivered a hard kick right between Adagio's legs.

Remember, this does work on girls! Setting aside that getting kicked really hard is going to hurt no matter where the kick lands, being slightly inside the body only helps protect against accidents. It doesn't actually reduce the number of nerve endings.
