Unpopular Opinion: the only time controller rumble has ever improved a game was in the cutscene before the Psycho Mantis fight in Metal Gear Solid. I guess his reappearance in MGS4 counts too, but the point is that Twilight found a better use for it than its inventors ever intended.

we think it's been pretty immersive in certain novel-esque experiences, like Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit. it also feels weird to go without the feedback after you're used to it for a while, in something like a fighting game or a racing game, you get used to the muscle memory and even incorporate it into yr actions after a while.

metal gear sounds bad-ass. i wish we'd played it when it came out. :x

I doth enjoy the intellectual footnotes on my pornography.

You got me at "butts".

will i one day be capable of writing a story with a better than 2:1 vote ratio? tune in next week to find out~

Wrong site for that six-digit number. <.<

Why does the controller vibrate anyways?

I feel like somebody, at some point, must have modded a game to do that. The PS2 in particular can play regular DVDs.

All the time until the end of the story I had one thought: she knew what she was doing. :trollestia:

There's also the rumble dongle for the PS2 game, Rez, called the Trance Vibrator. It could be placed on any part of the body, but the devs knew where most people were going to put it.

The Rumble Pak for the N64, the one that started it more or less, is intended, according to Wikipedia: "To immerse the player in the game".

I find, for me at least because I play a ton of fighting and action-adventure games, such as Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and God of War, as well as sandboxes like Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and InFamous, that in those games and others, the rumbling/vibration makes me feel more immersed, but also adds a greater sense of satisfaction to using epic moves or winning a clash, like using the Lightning Storm power in InFamous, or engaging an opponent in a Beam Struggle in DBZ: BT2. It's that extra touch that means so much (to some).:derpytongue2::raritywink:

Can't mention it here due to the mods. Suffice to say, if you do just a little cursory Googling about anime fans, incest, and six-digit numbers... You'll figure it out real fast. It'll be a huge metamorphosis of how you view the internet.

Oddly enough, I never noticed the numbers before, even though I've been there many times. Guess that's what I get for being 'distracted'.

I do wish the email notifications for replies included the formatting (in this case the letter color), because that might have told me all by itself.
