This story is a sequel to Injustice for All

It is the beginning of a new era. Princesses Celestia and Luna are ready to retire leaving Twilight as the new Monarch of Equestria.

But when the unexpected happens, a Hero rises instead of a Queen. Twilight must learn what means to bear her new power as the most powerful metapony in the world as the League of Doom and the Master Mind plan their next move.

All I can say is really good job on this first chapter. Loved the chat between Twilight and Spike before the coronation as well as Cadance, Luna and Celestia's stories about Twilight before things started going wrong. And, yeah, Twi's already showing the X-ray vision, super-hearing, heat vision, super-strength, super-speed and flight. At least Rainbow and Pinkie managed to get Twilight to see reason for the time being. And Spike and Celestia's chat as the League went out to find Twilight was well done. And, now, we have Mister Mind feeding Twilight's magic to "the big guy"

And, yeah, I can see why you would use that stuff about Celestia giving Twilight the power of the Sun as inspiration to make her Supermare. Admittedly, I think she would made a better pick for Doctor Fate with Big Mac as Super-Stallion (he's already got the super-strong nice guy farm boy deal, after all and it would be MUCH easier to visualize the Flim-Flam Brothers sharing the role of Lex Luthor [one of them the mad scientist version, the other the businessman version]), but I'm mature enough to respect that this is YOUR series and, hey, it's looking pretty good so far.

Yeah, Considering Twi is going to be Supermare, one has to wonder who's going to be Lois. Discord is OBVIOUSLY going to be Mxyzptlk (as he is closest to Mxy in power and personality anyway). I'm going to guess that Applejack will be Wonder Mare later on (since it wouldn't be THAT hard to visualize her finding something that grants her similar powers to Wonder Woman), as well as Fluttershy being Vixen (it wouldn't be hard to visualize Fluttershy finding an amulet that could grant her the ability to access the abilities of any non-equine animal she can visualize) and, just so we can keep ALL the Mane Six as some of the main heroes, Pinkie Pie as Plastic Mare (as it would very easy to visualize her gaining super-stretching powers [as well as maybe a certain degree of increased strength, durability and agility just so she can have the Required Secondary Powers needed to use those super-stretching powers with relative safety] in a chemical accident that would make her look a bit more like a super-powered Good Counterpart to Cheese Sandwich/the Joker). But that's ALL I'm going to guess.

Oopsie. Sorry about that. Got carried away with my thoughts. I VERY briefly forgot that this is YOUR story and I have to be mature enough to respect that.

Anyway, the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up are well done in all the right places.

Yeah I still don't agree with turning twilight into a superman espy especially given that other than Kryptonite and mind control magic is one superman's biggest weakness as he is completely helpless against it and well Equestria is a setting where magic is everywhere .

10227053
Superman isn't weak to magic he's vulnerable to it. It doesn't hurt him any more than it would a normal person.

10227053

10227151

Yeah. It depends on if you are talking about the Silver Age or the Modern Age.

Yeah, Silver Age Superman was pretty much helpless against magic, but Modern Age, that weakness was downgraded to him simply being no more resistant to it than a normal person.

Still, I DO agree Twilight would have been a better pick for Doctor Fate than for Superman. Even so, we have to respect that this is the author's choice and trust the author to do the best job with the idea possible. After all, we can't help where our inspiration comes from.

10227253
I think the reason she always gets turned into Superman is that they are both leaders of their respective groups, and that's about it. But not like this is the first story to do this.

10227296
Point extremely well taken.

10227296
Hey there!

Thank you for reading the saga even if you disagree with the concept of Twilight becoming Superman by losing her magic. I get the point as well, this is one of the worse things that could happen to her in the show. Especially that she have lost her magic because of this. But this is why I decided to explore the idea also, because it is a great source of conflict for the first arc of the story.

As for my inspiration, I took it from MLP itself when the trailer for season 9 appeared on Youtube and it was announced that Celestia would retire leaving Twilight as the Princess of the Sun (and Moon, but this is a Superman we're talking about).

But before that I had no plans to add any type of Superman to this Justilce League. Not only because I had no idea of how to include an equivalent in this universe before going too far from the MLP lore, but also because I personally I don't like Superman. He is my less favorite member of the Justice League.

(But I did enjoyed Man of Steel where I get the inspiration from the transformation scene)

Here we go, now you beef a poison eve accident for roseluck, and make her best bud with cozy, somehow.

10227357
Considering the canon I set for Rose, I think it could be a more paternalistic-like relationship like the one she haves with Joker. Just saying since she is still a child.

10227364
yeah, I'm not talking about cozy in a relationship with joker, but a fall down could still happen, and considering cozy is a filly and rose wanted a child, thinks could work similar to dc.

So, Twilight becoming Supermare but losing her magic. Interesting.

Does this mean Flurry Heart would be Supergirl then eventually?

I can already sense the future Twilight vs. Diamond Tiara fight. LOL.

Now half the Mane Six have superhero alter-egos, nice.

Could I see a Crisis on Infinite Earths Tie-in in the future?

10227682

[Does this mean Flurry Heart would be Supergirl then eventually?]

Possibly, but not for at least another fifteen years. (though Flurry would probably be already OP enough by then that she could be one of the few heroes who wouldn't need a tragedy or near-tragedy; just the inspiration of more experienced heroes)

[Now half the Mane Six have superhero alter-egos, nice.]

Yeah. Which makes me think the other half will eventually get super-hero alter-egos too (after all, all three of the main CMC have gained super-hero alter-egos, as have Spike and, thus far, three of the Mane Six, so that seems like a pretty solid hunch that Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie will gain them too).

But, in the end, that's entirely up to the author.

Excellent job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in this chapter. LOVED the details of how Twilight was recalling the sensory-enhancement spell earlier in her life and how hard it was for her to keep her senses under control in addition to understanding her frustration about the fact she doesn't have her magic any more (though she IS strong enough to create earthquakes with a single ground pound). Of course, I can ALSO understand Spike's frustration about wanting to help Twilight and Scootaloo's point about how Spike will need somebody who can match her strength. And, yeah, Magic Storm figured out what happened to Twilight's magic and Tirek is showing enough sense to only feed on that magic a little at a time (much like a smarter version of the Parasite, which makes sense for him).

Of course, once Tirek is defeated, Twilight will have to choose between taking back her old magic or keeping the power of the sun. And, if she DOES decide to keep the power of the sun (that's a pretty big "if"), she will have to find somebody she can trust with her old magic who has enough knowledge to still help Starswirl and Garble. That would be either Sunburst or Moondancer (and, in Sunburst's case, I think he would LIKE finally having the power to put his theories into practice, even if he might need a special helmet and medallion to control that power and still keep his sanity). In other words, either Sunburst or Moondancer becomes Doctor Fate. Of course, in the more likely event that Twilight opts to take back her old alicorn magic, there would be the matter of undoing the "solar transfer" spell.

Sorry about that. Just trying to think ahead one way or the other.

Anyway, very certainly looking forward to more of this.

You made Twilight Superman. So who's gonna be Lex?

10254502
Good question.

Trixie is already Zatanna, so SHE is out.

Going by Silver Age stuff and the Smallville TV Series (where Superman and Luthor were actually childhood friends), it's POSSIBLE it could be Moondancer (especially since she DOES have the intellect and the author already made Cheese Sandwich the Joker), but I prefer to hope not.

Going by the possibility of one of them being the mad scientist version and the other the businessman version, I would say it would be possible that the Flim-Flam Brothers end up sharing the Luthor role. Even though Twilight hasn't had quite as many issues with them as Applejack has (even if she HAS still had SOME issues with them), the possibility is definitely still there.

Sunburst has the intellect and it's possible that the combination of the grief concerning what happened to Starlight and jealousy concerning all the super-powered ponies and dragons that have been surfacing as of late could drive him to villainy. As with Moondancer, though, I prefer to hope not.

Tempest Shadow has the horn loss paralleling Luthor's hair loss AND at least USED to have the jealousy concerning Twilight that Luthor did concerning Superman, but she DOES NOT have the INTELLECT (preferring brute force to overly complicated plans and being more likely to get manipulated than be the one doing the manipulating). She COULD make an excellent Metallo though.

On the other hand, it's possible that the author could "cheat" and use an OC to play Luthor.

In the end, it's entirely up to the author, though and we have to respect the decision in advance one way or the other.

REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Loved how Spike and Scoots helped reason with Twi as well as help build her Fortress. And, yeah, Tirek's nightmares concerning Twilight (including that Take That to Barney) as well as the stuff about his coffee mug and butter knife DID add some humor to the chapter. Also really enjoyed the rest of the League taking the search for Twilight's magic so seriously, Twilight learning to control her heat vision while re-heating her breakfast and the little ironic foreshadowing with Spike accidentally including that comic book with the reading material.

All in all, very much looking forward to the next chapter.

Excellent job on the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I have to admit, the stuff with Tirek's recurring nightmares involving Twilight was great set-up for their upcoming rematch, and Grogar's reflection on how Master Mind continues to subtly influence him was really good stuff. And, Twi is not only learning to control her new powers, but has already used them to do a couple of good deeds (stopping a runaway train after Rainbow got all the passengers to safety and saving the residents of an apartment building that was on fire with Trixie's help). As she said, concentration is key. Fluttershy's reflections on Twilight's desire to come home after she gets enough long-term control over her power was beautiful, as was the reflection on Harry and Wormy (probably setting up Fluttershy becoming the new of the Mane Six to gain super-powers unless I miss my guess).

REALLY looking forward to more of this.

Again, you did an excellent job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Absolutely loved the scene with Twilight and Spike. As well as the scenes with Rarity and Sweetie Belle, Applejack and Fluttershy and Shining Armor and Cadance. Though, yikes, Twilight getting at least some semblance of control over her new powers forced Grogar and Master Mind to step up their time table and force feed Tirek the rest of Twilight's magic, basically turning him into a cross between Solomon Grundy, the Parasite and Doomsday (though, hopefully, Twi will have enough back-up between Lantern, Marevel and the other powerhouses in the League to actually survive the fight). And I CAN understand Twilight not wanting to see Celestia right now, even though, intellectually, she KNOWS Celestia was just as much a pawn of Master Mind as everybody else and didn't MEAN to do that to Twilight.

Of course, if Twilight DOES decide to keep the power of the sun, there will be the matter of finding somebody trustworthy to give her magic to after Tirek/Dominic Dumbsey is defeated (as well as creating a means for whoever gets picked to retain their intelligence and sanity after getting the power).

But, anyway, definitely looking forward to the next chapter.

Tirek as Doomsday. Nice!

10352515
Yeah. Doomsday with some elements of the Parasite. And, considering that, with the exception of Green Lantern, whose ring is derived from alien science rather than magic, most of the League's powerhouses get their power from magic (which Tirek can drain), it will definitely be a VERY difficult battle. Green Lantern might be able to help Twilight in the fight more directly (owing to him having the LEAST magic to drain out of all the League's powerhouses [and, even if Tirek were to drain his natural dragon magic. Spike would still have his wits, courage and power ring to fight with]), but the others might be better suited just keeping the civilians at a safe distance and helping repair the damage caused by the battle.

Great job on this latest chapter. Again, really good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Definitely enjoyed the scene as the League, the Mane Six, Shining and Cadance were getting together at the Crystal Empire to greet Twilight. Yeah, the nod to the World of Cardboard Speech was pretty good too. Celestia and Luna finding out about the gathering despite Twilight's wishes and everybody else's best efforts was well done as was how it was shown that Twilight's new X-ray vision can't penetrate lead. Have to give Master Mind credit; that was an excellent job on his trap and his reveal to the heroes. Indeed, Twilight probably better wait on taking back her magic - NOT having it right now actually improves her odds against a Plunder Vine/Tirek hybrid.

This is definitely going to be one doozy of a fight.

Of course, now we have to wonder which of the Mane Six is going to get super-powers next. Fluttershy seems like a pretty good bet because it wouldn't be hard to visualize her finding an amulet that grants her the power to mimic the abilities of any animal she can visualize. But Pinkie Pie is JUST AS good a bet because it would be pretty easy to see her gaining super-stretching powers (as well as enough increased strength, durability and agility to have the Required Secondary Powers needed to make best use of those super-stretching powers) in a chemical accident that would make her look more like a Good Counterpart to Cheese Sandwich/the Joker.

So, yeah, Fluttershy as Vixen and Pinkie Pie as Plastic Mare.

Though both of those are just as likely to be wrong as right.

But, anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

Excellent job on the second-to-last chapter of this story. Love the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations, action and set-up for both the epilogue AND the next story in this series. I LOVED the teamwork that went into the fight with Dumbsey as well as the fact that he was immune to the Elements of Harmony because he is too stupid to be truly evil anymore. And, yeah, also enjoyed how the gang also held their own so well in their first face to face encounter with Master Mind (particularly Batmare having the will to resist Master Mind's illusions and Pinkie's well-meaning insanity actually giving her a slight edge here) AND how Applejack and Fluttershy BOTH received doses of Twilight's released magic (which will pretty much set up them gaining super-powers of their own). My favorite parts, however, was how the League managed to calm Twilight down BEFORE she actually killed Dumbsey AND how Twilight finally feels ready to come back to Ponyville and the Castle of Friendship.

But, yeah, I ALSO rather seriously doubt that Mister Crow actually managed to EAT Master Mind. There is NO WAY the heroes could be THAT lucky. After all, with HIS mind powers, it's a reasonably safe bet that he teleported himself to safety at the last split-second.

But, all the same, VERY definitely looking forward to the epilogue.

“Me? I am far beyond such primitive concepts. Do it; blast me with the Elements. I could use some more color in my life.”

That's not how good and evil work

10400173
Yeah, maybe not, but nobody said super-villains were exactly sane individuals. And super-intelligent villains ALSO tend to be super-CRAZY.

10400188
"I am above good and evil so you can't hurt OH CELESTIA WHY AM I ON FIRE THE PAIN ARGH"

1. I really hope there can be a way to fix Tirek, because doing what Master Mind did to him feels like a fare worse than death.

2. Fluttershy and Applejack are about to get their abilities! Let’s go!

3. I feel like Pinkie is the equivalent of Mister Mxyzptlk, considering she has fourth wall breaking abilities.

10400724

1. Well, yeah. I have to admit that what Master Mind did to him (taking away his intelligence to that degree) IS much worse than he deserves (even if it had made him immune to the Elements of Harmony)

2. VERY definitely looking forward to seeing THAT. Yeah. Odds are Fluttershy will gain the ability to duplicate the abilities of any one animal at a time that she can mentally visualize (ala Vixen) and Applejack will gain a sizeable upgrade on all of her physical abilities as well as the ability to enchant her lasso so that it can not only be unbreakable under normal circumstances, but also compel any sapient being bound by it to tell the absolute truth (i.e. basically the powers of Wonder Woman).

3. More likely either Plastic Man, the Creeper or a mix of the two (you know, given the whole "Good Counterpart to the Joker" deal [i.e. Plastic Man has the same basic origin as the Joker with the difference that Plas gained super-powers and a much stronger conscience instead of becoming a hopelessly insane mass murderer and the Creeper has the same basic personality as the Joker except with somewhat stronger morals and limited, but actual, super-powers]). If anybody is likely to be the Mxyzptlk Expy, it's Discord (mainly because he is ALREADY basically that anyway)

10400210
(chuckles) Yeah. I know what you mean. That would have been some good Black Comedy (which would be doubly ironic concerning it would have involved some really bright lights).

10400769
So excited that we just might FINALLY get to see the DC Trinity in Equestria.

Twilight, Applejack, and Diamond Tiara.

Applejack for Wonder Woman. I saw that coming.

REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future story set-up in this epilogue. Yeah, I can definitely understand the reflections the Mane Six and Spike had following the fight with Tirek/Dumbsey (Twilight ESPECIALLY concerning both the pain she was in AND the guilt of what she almost did), as well as Rainbow's check-up with Barry and Wally, Batman providing Luna with that Kryptonite just in case and meeting Diamond, Applejack finding out a bit about her new abilities (mostly greatly increased strength and the ability to enchant her lasso) following her exposure to Twilight's magic and Chrysalis and Sombra meeting Catrina.

VERY certainly looking forward to the next story in this series.

Time for Wonder Mare and Vixen!

Twilight blinked. "What's a Vaxasaurian?"

Woo hoo Ben 10 reference

I can't help but think that Rainbow still has feelings for Barry.

It would be cool to see a story centered around the CMCs or a series of short slice of life chapters depicting the heroes during their free time. I would read the hell out of either fr
