My passion is writing. I love to create vivacious worlds, characters, creatures and tales and fashion imaginative and engaging history thereof.

T

After the events with Gabby, all seems well with Rarity and Spike, but there are certain things left unspoken by both of them, and keeping emotions bottled and set aside is never healthy.

First, the purple dragon needs to apologize too.

YES!!!! Another story, Thanks Victoria. gonna read it now! :pinkiehappy:

Update:
Just finished reading it :pinkiehappy: I really enjoyed that, thanks. I liked season 9 aswell. I liked how you didn't have them just rush into being in a relationship “Well, Spikey, I think that we will have to establish some rules later. This friendship that we have right now, while beautiful and strong, is still rather fractured and in need of careful fixing.”

But I won't lie, I would of loved for Spike to of held Rarity's cheek and given Rarity a little peck on the cheek when he was cleaning behind her ears, and have him just give her a grin as she went red, with him saying something like, "I always wanted to do that" :rainbowlaugh:

Thanks for the nice Sparity Read

Oh, thank you for the comment, JW. I honestly didn't imagine that this would be read by so many so quickly. I think that this was actually featured for a few moments, but I don't really know how that works.

Season nine brings so much respect to both Rarity and Spike, separately and together. They really have helped each other to grow so much throughout the series and it is a real privilege to be able to add to such a beautiful and inspiring complicated relationship. It honestly was like that before. Rarity actually told him that she loved him when I returned to this, but when I read it, it didn't seem to fit at all with the situation. At this point, they are too hurt to start any sort of relationship, judging by the constant cuddles and needy glances. I am finding that I am always having Pinkie help these two, which makes sense when Spike only truly told her and Twilight about his feelings for Rarity. Pinkie is very sharp, especially when her friends are involved.

If I do continue with this, there will be more opportunities for healing, cuddles, sadness, previous and further regrets, trips, and pecks on the cheek. Goodness knows that Spike needs to start returning those ministrations to make them even. I am certain that when they are at a point where cheek kissing is permitted that Rarity would turn it around and tell him that it wasn't fair of him to not return them, or that he was teasing her by not reciprocating. She would say that jokingly, of course, with an additionaly and entirely necessary pout to boot.

Aha, well, I would have liked that too, but there is still hope for later, dear. Right now, they both know that they have been too close in that shrub and need to have some space. Emotional trauma is hard to deal with, and understanding that you need to change is hard too, especially because they know one another so well. It will be difficult for Spike and Rarity not to want to seek comfort from one another, and other times where only they can properly comfort one another, which I hope I can show properly if I do persist with this. There will be moments when they fail to stop themselves, but that is what happens on occasion.

Oh, I don't know if you managed to see this, but I snuck in a few quotes from the Dragon Dropped episode and I also hinted at a song that I absolutely love. It describes this relationship quite well. It is called Eyes on Me and it is from Final Fantasy eight.

I will say I loved the fight scene in season 9 where you have Rarity and Spike not only fighting side by side but protecting each other, the Sparity in me went crazy at that :rainbowlaugh: Though I would of liked to of seen a bit more of them together in the future bits, but I'm happy with what I got. Well I'm unsure myself if this was featured or not, but it deserves to be  I have missed reading my Sparity, so thank you :pinkiehappy:

I have no doubt if you continue this, it will be a great read, just like all your other stories, and of course I will have to read it, if you do deside to continue it lol. I can also understand why you are making them take it slow and think its the right call, even if, I just want my Spikey-wikey to get all the cuddles and kisses he wants right now lol It will no doubt be worth the wait when they take that step together(when ready of course) When Pinkie popped up I was screaming no! lol and just thought, Pinkie Pie moment killer :rainbowlaugh: But I do think using Pinkie was a good choice, like you pointed out, think Twilight would of leaned to much in Spikes favor or have the big sis mode of wanting to protect her little brother kick in lol

I did spot a few quotes from the episode Dragon Dropped, but I didn't say anything cuz I didn't want my post to be to big and to seem like I was fangirling, you know how I can get, when I get going :rainbowlaugh: Im kicking myself that I didn't notice the hints of the song Eyes on me, I love my Final Fatasy,(Playing ffxiv atm and of course ff7 remake lol) but in all honesty I haven't played ff8 for a long time :twilightsheepish:

as always thanks for the reply, I'm currently re-reading a certain story, that I'm finding very helpful and relaxing for me at the moment(I don't think I need to say which one) :rainbowlaugh: anyway before I start to fangirl, I best just stop and say thanks as always :pinkiehappy:

Look forward to seeing what you do next(weather you continue this, or do something else) Take care be well and thanks for releasing another great read

I loved that moment too, especially because it was with Queen Chrysalis. They nearly defeat the queen changeling with true love again. If she hadn't stopped casting that spell, they would have defeated her together. It doesn't matter, really, but thank you all the same. I am happy to share my thoughts and stories with whoever will read them.

Truthfully, I am thinking of another chapter that would happen rather soon, and it would be rather painful and heartwarming for Spike and Rarity at the same time. He does deserve Rarity's cuddles, I do not deny that in the least, precisely like she deserves his, but they should be careful with one another. Pinkie is good at appearing at odd times, but there is always a reason for it, even if she doesn't know what it is.

I, myself, wouldn't mind if you shared more of your thoughts. It would take longer to reply, of course, but it is engaging to talk to my esteemed guests. Oh, I am good with subtlety, dear. I have played Final Fantasy fourteen as well. It is fun and a brilliant story, but I haven't returned in a while. Final Fantasy eight is the first Final Fantasy game that I played and completed. I have everything as perfect as it could be. The clock also almost reset three times. I have Final Fantasy seven too, both the first version and the remake, both of which are wonderful.

Not at all, JW, I am always happy to chat, so to speak. This story is also very fitting for the circumstances at the moment, in regard to many needing to talk to someone and find comfort. I have a few guesses, yes. Be positive to care for yourself too.

Yeah defeating the queen changeling with Spike and Rarity's true love would of been GREAT to see, but I think it was well done in the end. Well you have my interest in another chapter. The painful bit of this chapter you are thinking of worries me, but the greater the pain, the great the love. So now I really want to see where you are thinking of taking this. As I've said before you have a very good way of writting Rarity and Spike, that I just love reading, so write away lol.

As for Final Fantasy 14 played since reborn and I'm up todate but ff7 was my first and like you, I still have my ps1 copy along with the remake ps3 ver release, the new ff7 remake is really good(I think) though I havent had much time to play it atm. After ff7 I went back and played all the others, I still remember playing ff10 for the first time on ps2 :rainbowlaugh:

Thanks for the kind words, I'll make sure to be safe and careful, after all I have more of your stories to look forward too :pinkiehappy:

It still shows how connected that Rarity and Spike are to one another and how strong they are together, which is the important bit. It was mentioned in this chapter and I will have to be careful with how I approach it. I have dealt with the situation myself and it is never easy, but that will probably be chapter three or four. The second will probably be rather simple and sweet as they set the rules and boundaries of what they are comfortable with. Thank you, my dear. I am happy that I write for them well.

I started with A Realm Reborn as well. The last thing that I remember completing is Shinryu Extreme or Savage, or whichever is the hardest version. Is Omega Weapon after that? It has been so long, but I am remembering. I think that I may have been searching for Omega Weapon or Alexander Savage accoutrements. I love the remake for Final Fantasy seven. Cactuar and Carbuncle are so cute and helpful. I have played most of them.

Oh, you flatterer. Thank you.

simple and sweet works for me lol nice to see you are thinking a few chapters a head, just means this story is only going to grow and get better  I have no doubt you will make it interesting, I look forward to seeing what kind of rules they set for each other and how things are going to change for them, not to mention how everyone is going to react to them. As a Sparity fan, I always look forward to seeing how Rarity and Spike develop, they have such good chemistry and I always enjoy there interactions with one another.

As for ff, I think it may have been Alexander, its been awhile in truth since I did all that :rainbowlaugh: But if you should deside to come back the new expantion, shadowbringers is a good story, but then its ff they always make good stories for all their games, one of the reasons I like them so much lol

You always have to plan with writing, otherwise the story will never end. They do have a perfect rapport, don't they?

Ah, a proper personal reconciliation between Spike and Rarity after everything that happened, with a chat they needed to have to clear the air a bit. I appreciate that Pinkie and Twilight ship it hard -- if anypony was to, it probably would be those two! (Speaking of, "So that's how it works!" in the episode, and quoted here, is such a stealth bomb that can be taken purely as an observation about Spike's basket, or a lot more than that. It's actually kind of brilliant)

By the way, did I imagine it or did I detect a hint at the possibility that, at least to an extent, Spike intended on some level to make Rarity jealous to test her feelings for him? Admittedly the thought crossed my mind when I watched Dragon Dropped, especially after what Spike did in "Sparkle's Seven" earlier on in the season to get the Sibling Supreme crown (which, while ultimately well-intended, was a pretty conniving double-cross). It's a possible motivation for flying off those times if it wasn't a purely thoughtless action, though if it were it went further than he'd intended -- whether he'd meant to or not, I doubt his depressive funk after Gabby dumped him was fake.

Either way, he needed to hear it from her outright. While the pair of them definitely have enjoyed one another's company over the years I wouldn't blame Spike for wondering once in a while whether Rarity just liked having him around to do menial stuff for her, or if he meant more to her than that. That said, the answer to that question was never in doubt as far as I'm concerned, even before the episode answered it outright! (Rarity's "I have to admit everything feels a little bit 'less-than' without him... ^:(" halfway through the episode says it all)

And of course there was a critical mass of cute romantic chatter between the two of them, one of life's best things, and even if emotions were slightly raw they came out the other side for the better, and with things looking up between them for the future. Looking forward to you building on that in the sequels!

Thank you. Pinkie is always who I have help in this way, even before season nine was presented. Heart Scales and Diamonds of the Soul hints more at why I think Pinkie is so helpful. I honestly didn't realize it for quite a few chapters, myself, but I haven't heard anyone else notice and ask me. It would still be speculation, so I understand. It is sort of my own little secret. I am so glad that many others are saying that too. I love that Pinkie says that, because I thought that it was about them immediately. There is no basket in this story. There may be one later, perhaps on a picnic blanket and filled with fruit and sandwiches.

Mmm, possibly, yet I didn't think of it while I watched the episode. Even then, I think that his behavior in Sparkle's Seven was to finally have the ability to talk to them. It is hard to talk to family about neglect when they are the ones neglecting you, even if they don’t know it. I still love that Rarity and Spike shared a flick of humorous banter when she offered her idea. As they say in this story, both are affection starved, for similar and different reasons. I can see that mostly, he was simply so excited that he forgot her, which is not better by any means, but he may have thought to make her feel a bit like he did for what she had done to him in the past. It is hard not to think about. What is important is that he probably regretted it immediately and in my story was afraid to apologize to her.

She did need to tell him. It hints that she wanted to tell him at some points, but also could have been afraid of what it may mean for them. Oh yes, of course. Snuggles and kisses can only be given so much before they start to wonder if it is all an act. Yes, she cares for him. She promised to rip Garble and his friends to pieces to protect him, which is a scene that has always meant quite a bit to me. It certainly does confirm that she is interested in him.

I do love writing romantic conversations with these two. I do have a few chapters already thought of and started. I wish that I had shown a chapter before this, explaining Spike's regret about how he acted. This is a few days after Rarity apologized and there was at least a week of the three characters fighting for attention, so he has had plenty of time to think.

Not bad. 8.5/10

I hope you continue! Ty 4 writting this...

Oh my goodness, well, thank you for your comment, dear. I really appreciate that you read it. I hope that you enjoyed this cute little story, Pia-chan.

As a die-hard Sparity shipper, I love stories like this. But one thing puzzles me:

The seamstress sat close with the dragon with one hoof on his shoulder, confident that they had not been seen entering the bush, but still prepared to act if a bat should spot one or both of them.

Why did they think they had to hide from little insectivorous cave bats? Bats aren't dangerous except as a reservoir for various diseases. They certainly aren't going to attack a pony.

Please don't be offended by my questions. I just happen to be a chiropterophile.

Dragon Quest = Bat poop was all over them in the beginning of that episode :pinkiehappy:
