This story is a sequel to Secrets and Lies (phase two)
Its several years later, after the devastating global bombardment of the planet of Sol, many of huge Equestrian Cities that once populated the surface of Sol have been reduced to rubble. Pony survivor of those cities has slowly started to rebuild their life with the help of one of Celestial Alicorn Star Sectors. Each Celestial Alicorn Star Sectors has claimed a small piece of the Planet of Sol and has pledged to rebuild it and protect it under their banner. Maintaining the global peace treaty for the Planet of Sol is the New Federation of Equestria (the core kingdoms of the old Confederation of Equestria), they are under the banner of the Infinity Star Sector. The overall ruling star sector of entire Celestial Alicorn Space.

Why call the planet Sol? Wouldn't it make more sense to call it Equus or something more pony-related?

Every writer call it Equus who do Sci-fi type stories.
I am not against using the name like everyone else.
But I have more information on Sol because I build more background about the planet. Plus I don't want to be compared to other writers who do sci-fi. That why I don't call it Equus Starlight nova.
Plus reader like you who ask questions and want me to explains why I do it, I hate to say I enjoy those comments.
if you ask any other writer why they do what they do. The easiest answer is it canon.
Canon is great and all. But I like creating new worlds using the ideas of canon.
