"Do you think things will be okay?" Twilight Velvet asked, looking out the window.

"I trust our kids," Night Light replied. He sat beside Flurry's crib, slowly rocking it back and forth. "And Cadence. And their friends. If anyone can do it it's them."

"You saw what happened before, right?" Twilight nervously looked at the sky.

"I saw how it got better," Night Light responded. "I know you're worried, but there's not really anything we can do besides hoping."

Twilight swallowed. "I know." She kept looking at the sky, still remembering how it had turned dark before.

Seeing his granddaughter was asleep, Night Light stepped up to his wife and wrapped a foreleg around her shoulders. "It's going to be okay," he said, leaning into her.

Twilight did the same. "You don't actually know that."

"Of course not," Night Light said. "But it is. No point bandaging your head before it's hurt, anyway." He looked at her. "Do you trust them?"

Twilight sighed, and looked back at him. "I do."

They hugged.
