The North Western Railway is...interesting. Not only is it still mostly powered by steam, but the engines are alive! Naturally, this can lead to trouble, But Twilight and her friends don't mind. They know that no matter what trouble they may encounter, the engines strive to be really useful!

These are their stories.

I am LOVING the increase in Thomas/MLP or EG crossovers and this is no exception

Loving the new additions to the stories. Let's see what else happens later. Will you be following the books or enough of the show?

It's interesting to see another author on here adapting the Railway Series.

I wonder why there's been such a sudden increase?

Before we get started, I want to give a quick shoutout to The Blue EM2. Without his story, Thomas and Friends: The Retold Adventures, I wouldn't have written this.

Aww, thank you.

10191286
Well, there is a brief shoutout to my story.

10191339
What I mean is, your stories were the first I had seen in a while that referenced, and then included, Thomas, aside from the Adventures in Canterlot story, and it's sequal.

10191341
Well, I'm only continuing in the long and proud tradition started by Gold Dust and Harmony.

10190601
A bit of both, as well as some original stuff

10191389
I look foreard to seeing where this one goes.

I'm liking this so far, but I can foresee a potential problem. If you're assigning two people to each engine, you'll run out of characters very quickly.

10194496
Oof, believe me, that was one of my main concerns when I was making my notes for this. But after a lot of shuffling things around and starting seasons 5-9 of MLP, I think I've finally got a handle on everything besides the SKR and CFR

10195781
Also, something weird seems to be going on. All the chapters are dated 17th April.

I also observe you're using the US episode titles.

10196026
Oh, that was because I had written and published the first eight or so chapters on the 17th, but then I figured I should wait until the story was approved before I started publishing anything after the first. Well, that and dumping everything I had written at once seemed like a poor idea in the long run.

And I've been using the US titles because I've always preferred most of them over the originals.

10196672
Ah. I see.

Fair enough. I presume you're from North America?

10196681
OK then. I like how you're going out of your way to not mimic other takes on these stories.

"One of the engines on my old railway tipped over on the points leading into the yard. Everything came to a standstill and we were stuck having to deal with the backlog for a week!"

A reference to this accent at Hitchin, by any chance?

10216367
Admittedly, it wasn't meant to reference any accident in particular. It was just a throwaway line based from the numerous accidents I've read about growing up

What about listening to Spike? He tried to tell Twilight, but she ignored him...

"Never mind there songs,"

Their.

Once Thomas was at the bridge, Spike looked at the river and gagged. The water had an

Great chapter, but was this line cut off?

10239798
Uh oh. I have no clue what happened there

Interesting the chapters are short. As a rule, I make sure my chapters are at least 1,000 words long, and I usually gun for 1,500-2,000.

Interestingly, there were 4-6-2 tank engines.

It's with deep regret that I must inform you that Michael Angelis has passed away today.

I like the flashback, it is funny

Fun fact; James' remark about 'black wheels' is a subtle reference to 'blacklegs', a common insult used for coal miners who wouldn't go on strike when their fellows did. The expression refers to the fact their trousers would be covered in coal dust.

One thing I never understood about this episode is how in the TV version, Edward tried to push the train. Propelling movements in the UK were limited to 15mph, due to the driver's vision being obstructed.

I can only assume the set crew had no idea what they were doing.
