There'll definitely be more, be assured of that.

hee hee, hee hee, heh heh heh, heh heh, hehe ha hah hah hah hah! AHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! :pinkiecrazy:

GO GET 'EM!!!

Also, why the fuck is the like/dislike ratio so bad? HERESY!!!

I'm liking this story direction and confused at why some gore pansies disliked this, it's quite well done.

Well it's Doom... What the fuck did they expect? Sunshine and roses, clear skies and lollipops? This ain't Kansas buddy, this is the guy who's too pissed off to die and the guy that hells afraid of.

It's a combination from people who hate the Displaced genre, they hate the gore and blood, or they hate the caribou stories.

Who'd have thought that I would go to a convention as the OG Doomguy and buy a couple of his Doom Eternal guns including the infamous Crucible only to end up in Equestria?

Who would have thought that?

Everyone.

Every person who glanced at the New column. Every reader who's heard of the Displaced concept. People who just showed up on the site five minutes ago. Second-graders who had to look up 'Crucible.' Pretty much every part of the Internet which can either read English or had access to a translation program. There is not a single individual among that group who did not look at your short description and know exactly where the story was going, which was running down a potholed one-lane dirt road with no exits, no turns, and no destination that everyone else hadn't tried leading them to a thousand times before.

Everyone.

Also, your first sentence was “Alright, your good to go.”

And that is why you're getting downvotes. Because not only is this the same car going down the same road when the driver's sole forward gear is O for Overused, but there's no shocks. And I mean that not only are there no surprises whatsoever on a trail which everyone else already followed, but things like 'your good to go' jolt the reader out of the story.

But hey, writing doesn't count, now does it? Neither does character, or dialogue, and you certainly don't need a plot.

You have a costume, and you have an excuse. We all know what happens next.

And if we all know what happens next, there's no reason to actually read it.

10182118 But it’s the Doom guy, Estee! I know what Doom is and I clapped when I saw the Doom guy, Esteeeeeeee!!!!

:fluttershbad: :fluttershbad: :fluttershbad: You’re making me not clap as hard, Esteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!:fluttershbad: :fluttershbad: :fluttershbad:

I can see why you're having a few problems. The story is competently written, but throwing Displaced and Fall of Equestria into one story is a potential whirlwind of dislikes.

I kinda figured out why I hate Displaced.

Not that it's overused, a breeding ground for talentless hacks, 90% of the crossovers make no sense, the "protagonist" has no charm, no traits to make them stand out because they've become a fictional blank slate or that it's always some edgy propety that does not match up with MLP at all...

None of those help. No, the problem is that I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PROTAGONIST. There's no soul, no personality. Even a massive twat could be entertaining if they were written well enough... Probably too much to ask.

But see, here's the thing. I've written and read a lot of isekai and what the best ones I read had in common was SEX APPEAL BABYYYYYY-

I'm kidding. IT's that the protagonist has agency. They do things, grow, change, have actual fucking personalities. Hell, even Doomguy has more character than this bland, no-name sad sack and his thing is just punching demons in the face to heavy metal.

And that's the problem with Displaced. There's no room to root for the protagonist unless you happen to not care for you know, actual storytelling.

Still, boring but inoffensive. It's Displaced, that's sort of it's thing at this point. Long as you have a pair of working hands, anyone can shit out a Displaced in a matter of days. (Looking at you, Connor "I can't finish a single story so I delete them to disappoint my readers." Cooper)

Sad thing is that someday, someone will write the caribou as a race that could 100% be a part of Friendship is Magic (and not as they are in that steaming pile of horseshit excuse for a universe that is FOE).

And people will downvote the story just based on the fact that caribou are in it at all. Never mind the fact that they are nothing like what this fandom is obsessed with.

Nice to see I'm not the only one irritated by Connorcooper's inability to finish his stories.

To be honest here, I am quite fond of your stories and writing style, though I haven't read all of them, but more than one. I can understand what you are saying, but you and this story plays on two different levels. You write unique stories, while this contains nothing less, nothing more than the good ol' fashioned Rip and Tear. And as an avid Doom player, I don't always look for artistic quality in a story. Original Doom creator John Carmack trashed the original backstory written by Tom Hall in 1993 stating the (in)famous quote: "Story in a game is like story in a porn movie; it's expected to be there, but it's not that important."
Is this story unique? No.
Is this story enjoyable? Yes.
Is it Doom? Well, we have: pissed off Doomguy, enemies, Rip and Tear. Yes.
It could have been done better (and more related to MLP), but sometimes, I just read crossovers with one of my favorite games for fun.

the greatest start to the bloodiest campaign in equestrian history cant wait for more:rainbowdetermined2:

Maybe don't use Displaced for a story like this. There are already two excellent Fall of Equestria DOOM crossovers, learn from them.

Lovin it can't wait for the rest.

Yes, this is the beginning of a war.😈

Novel? I don't know there is a novel? The only novel that I know existed is the shitty one that tries to tell us that it was all lies

From what I know, there was a comic but honestly I haven't read it. I knew Doomguy's name from research on the internet but I had to have a way to explain how this John knew it.

An army versus the slayer? So it shall be an equal fight.

10309763
Since when is bringing an army an equal fight against the Doomguy? Sending an entire dimension full of demons is still a one sided fight with the odds favoring Doomguy, one army is the pre-warmup!

This story is awesome!! Keep up the amazing work!!!

Itd be cool to see him get the upgrade to the modern Eternal Armor.

10181713 Canonically the doomsayer /Doomguy is actually William B Blazkowicz the fourth son of Commander Keen. Doom is actually a sequel series to Wolfenstein. Doomguy is actually a character from The Wolfenstein series and the Commander Keen series they're all actually connected the reason why doomguy got sent to Sentinel Prime is due to the timeline changing in Wolfenstein the Old Blood to quote/ paraphrase the Reverse Flash in the Flashpoint Paradox "you created a Time Boom a ripple throughout time and space distorting events from the old timeline creating this new one"

Looking up I saw a guy who was dressed in a pretty cool looking Samuel Hayden cosplay, I went to talk to him but he then pointed towards a sign that read, ‘Customers Must Stay In Character To Buy’. So, I stayed silent and pointed at the guns and sword that laid in front of me.

then just grunt, cause doom guy grunts 'unf' is my favorite line

Ah, another good fic to add to my “Caribou Slayer” bookshelf.

Eventually. I've been extremely busy recently and haven't gotten the chance to write. Nor has the inspiration to write hit me. This goes for all of my stories too. My update schedule is absolute shit and it's not gonna get better anytime soon. I apologize for that.
