This story is a sequel to Anarchy: Pony of Chaos, but you don’t need to read that one to understand.
Through the use of Discord's magic, Rainbow Dash and Applejack are currently expecting a foal. Heck, they even picked out a name for the little colt or filly! But not all is well on Sweet Apple Acres. Due to Discord's... well, Discord... Dash ended up the one set to carry the future Zap Apple, which now threatens her Captaincy of the Wonderbolts.
It's bad enough that the undead black sheep of the Apple clan is living and working on the farm, but now Rainbow has to give up the dream job she's been working for all her life!?
The real question is: Can she?

Wonderful character moment for Dash and those around her. Especially that one unspoken fear. For a second I thought Spitfire was going to say "an easy pregnancy," but that's not what concerns Dash. (And given Discord's involvement, I doubt she's in store for one.) Great read throughout. Thank you for it.

Rusty's a good egg. Shame she doesn't know her Shy-side relatives... yet. There was a deleted line about Discord and Ann having heart attacks once they realized Zephyr bred.
My favorite aspect of multiple-world stories or stories involving time and dimensional travel is the direct comparisons between them. Like, I know the 1631 series is technically trash genre fiction... but there's something enthralling having Cardinal Richelieu and an American from the year 2000 discuss geopolitics, mechanical engineering, human rights, determinism, and the practical application of giving someone from the seventeenth century textbooks and technical manuals from the 20th.
Someday, I really want to do a boring conversation story where Sunset and Twilight just talk through the logistics of getting Equestria's 19th century base tech up to a 20th or 21st level. One day...

Yay! More context on the Appledash side of things.
I actually really liked that this story is standalone because it can speak to A LOT of career-minded woman in leadership positions that get pregnant. Plus, it’s a great character study of Dash, something we kind of needed because of her reaction to her being pregnant when she wasn’t expecting to be.
The revelation of Rusty Bolt. I love him already. The fact that he’s Ann’s cousin just makes it all the better and makes me excited for the inevitable meeting between them. I like that RD is taking Fluttershy’s nephew under her wing. It really helps establish how the Mane Six, Starlight, and Trixie basically have a LARGE extended family that all take care of each other. Considering Rusty is old enough to be a Bolt reserve, this gives me the assumption he’s about as old as Luster and Celeste.
I like how you’re developing this demographic of ponies that are older than Ann and co., but younger than the Mane Six and CMC.
Luster, Celeste, Rusty, and Flurry Heart (obviously they aren’t all the EXACT same age, but they should be around the same age range, right?) together forming this in-between age cohort once again is a major case fir why this world is so awesome. This world isn’t just the OLD ponies and the young kids. There’re also YA/Teen ponies too that are going through their own trials of maturity and making it in life. It’s awesome.
Don’t worry about long narrative ideas. There’s plenty of time for that when you’re confident in them.
I’m just excited to get another perspective in this great AnarchyVerse. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got going next!

Frosted Apple is one of Granny Smith‘s first cousins. She did something, not disclosed at the moment, that got her ejected from the family, and she died sometime soon after. During the events of my story Anarchy: Pony of Chaos, she was resurrected using black magic by Grogar. She would like to make amends with her family, and Rainbow Dash convinced everypony to let her stay at the farm in the meantime.
Zap Apple is Dash and AJ’s kid... or, at least that’s the name they’ve picked for the kid already. Part of what convinced AJ to do this whole chaos magic thing was the fact that her wife was so excited to have children with her that she already picked a name.
