This story is a sequel to Apple Bloom's Mansion 2: the Phantom Valley
A few months passed since the terrible events that happened in Evershade Valley. Apple Bloom continues her life as a ghost hunter, constantly on edge knowing that Thanatos, the Spirit of Death, could start another of his 'games' anytime.
Then, one day, she's invited, with everypony else, by Eternal Rest to come to her hotel to pass some good time. This is quickly revealed to be a trap, and the filly must climb the haunted hotel to save everypony again.
But this time, she isn't the only one with a Poltergust.

Hey now I know what could work how about an alicorn of life I mean you got the draconequus of death so why not she could be Celestia and Luna's grand mother that they never knew and she could be like a goddess so she would be just as if not more powerful as the draconequus of death but she doesn't appear till after he is defeated. Or maybe you could factor in an ancient relic that can bring them back to life and also weaken the draconequus of death.

It would still be a deus ex machina to force a perfect happy ending, which would be really bad. If I bring the ponies back to life, then it will be with a solution logically brought by the scenario. So, for exemple, you won't expect Thanatos to have an artefact that can bring the deads back to life, because he's the Spirit of Death, he would rather destroy such an artefact if it existed. And being the Spirit of Death doesn't mean that he must have an opposite. Discord is the Spirit of Chaos, and yet, we never see a Spirit of Order or whatever. And no, the Tree of Harmony doesn't count, because Harmony is Order and Chaos (and Life and Death). And again, creating an alicorn of Life of something similar out of nowhere just for that would be just an easy solution to force the scenario and would ruin the ending.

It could work, but I already have everything planned, and I have no place for such a character. I couldn't find him an usefulness outside of being a deus ex machina. The only thing useful he could have done, finding a way to trap Thanatos, is already taken by another future character in the sequel of this story.

I played the game, but yeah, they defeat god-level entities by crossing the streams, not capturing them. Actually, if Gozer as Stay Puft Marshmallow Man had fallen on the vehicle as the Ghostbusters first planned, would they have been captured, or would only their physical envelop have been captured? 🤔 Gozer was weakened, so I'm not sure if it would have worked or not.

I still have to get my hand on the romans or to be able to watch the series on Netflix. For the romans, the confinement just stopped today, so I wasn't able to get them. For the series, I haven't found the occasion to watch it. I saw the trailer of season 2 however, and it seems to be an interresting, but confusing universe. From what I understand, it's during a zombie apocalypse in a normal Earth like Walking Dead, but in the trailer, the heroes go in a building full of civilized monsters.
