I had t think of Sabaton when I saw this.

In fact, I also made a reference to that event in one of my stories

One must also keep in mind the German infantry was comprised of incredibly superstitious young men, so one can hardly call them cowards in this instance.

Agreed. I also had a direct reference planned to this event

"The Russians are not men, but some kind of cast-iron creatures; they never get tired and are not afraid of fire."
From Hoffman's diaries at Stalingrad.

Osowiec then and again
Attack of the dead, hundred men
Facing the lead once again
Hundred men
Charge again
Die again

Funny enough I was listening to Sabaton's Attack of the Dead men when making this

10129337
I see. Would you like to know the reference I mentioned?

Set on August 6th 1915, in the Northeastern part of Poland.

Not knowing anything about that battle, how is the story's name meaningful?

It's one of the most strangest and grumsome infantry charges on the Eastern Front of the First World War

The story you read was only fiction only for the mlp characters.

The Attack of The Deadmen is a very real battle of World War One. Germans unleashed poison gas on unmasked Russian defenders, the gas' corrosive effects eating their lungs, eyes, lips, and gums.

Yet, through sheer willpower alone, over a hundred of the dying defenders mustered the adrenaline to charge the advancing enemy before succumbing to their fates and dying to a man.

The Germans outnumbered the dying survivors by a minimum of ten to one, but the sight of their acid-eaten faces put the fear of God into their hearts and sent them fleeing for their lives. It would be nearly a month later before the Germans claimed the fortress.

A salute to these men, who stared death in the eyes and said unto him. "You will wait until our duty is done. Then you will have us."

It was not there time to die. And for that I salute them.

Attack of the dead!
Hundred Men!
Facing the led once again!
Hundred men!
Charge again!
Die again!

(I had to)

You've gotta space out the text a little bit, man. I could hardly read it. Otherwise, great concept but not so good execution.

Apologies, I mostly write on my phone. Which is a hell on its own.

11241718
I hope that is a bit better

11242436
It's a little better. Although I think you should space the dialogue out like this:

"Where are we going?" Luna asked the disgruntled man.

"To somewhere." He vaguely answered, "For what reason? And why?" She asked.

"You didn't have to follow me, you know."

"And stay in that horrid place you call a home?" Luna snorted indignantly, "I think not!"

Hope that helps.

11242412
Yeah. Can't blame you, I write on my phone as well. However, I guess I have an unfair advantage since I've had two years of practice. Speaking of that; you should probably practice writing a bit. I can help you with some basic things and work up to some more advanced tips if you want. I've got nothing better to do, and we could use more military HiE or just general military-themed ones in general. That is more niche like the soviet-afghan war one you wrote.

Yea, That be appreciated, I feel the Soviet Afghan one needs some polish
