Not much poetry on this site, so it was interesting to read this.

What I'm getting out of it is that Rainbow Dash is under the influence of some drug. Adrenochrome is a drug that causes delusions and hallucinations. The smell is perhaps simply part of the hallucination. Or maybe I'm just a dumbass that got the whole meaning wrong.

The story is very abstract and hard to follow, but I realized that it gives the reader the feeling of hallucination--drifting from thought to though, not sure what to make of what's being presented before us, no matter how evocative. We are almost "going on the ride" along with Rainbow Dash.

There isn't enough deep shit like this on FimFiction cause it seems like none of the readers here really have a taste for it. So, I thank you for this.

Ironic that Rainbow Dash can wax poetically while literally plummeting to her death, but her own subconscious, stabilized after said crash, goes back to full derp mode in order to process the accident. The morphine induced Twilight helped out, I'm sure.
