Sweetie Belle, a kirin.
Scootaloo, a changeling.
Apple Bloom, a zebra.
When these three fillies meet at the School of Friendship, they don't form the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but rather a different group.
The Multicultural Acceptance Crusaders, or the MAC, providing discriminated against creatures with eventual acceptance.

REALLY good job on this AU spin on the Crusaders' first meeting at the Friendship School. Have to say, I LOVE the imagination that went into this. I particularly liked Scoots' mom's explanation on some of the other species (though she left out a FOURTH pony species - the alicorn (which is a mix of all three of the other pony species) - And I DID like how Sweetie Belle uses writing and sign language to communicate in lie of talking. And I admit I got a few chuckles out of the "dorm room meeting" scene. And I can see Applejack and Rainbow commenting about Scoots and Bloom reminding them "WAY too much of how WE were when we first met."

So, Rarity is a dragon, Rainbow is something called a chollima (which I'm guessing is a hybrid of a Pegasus and an insect, but without the Changelings' ability to change shape), Pinkie Pie is a hippogriff and Applejack is a zebra. I guess Twilight is still a pony (and probably an alicorn at that) and Fluttershy is either a Breezie or a Griffon (and we'll find out which one in the next chapter), though I will admit that I COULD be wrong.

And, hey one thing about Scoots being a Changeling - if she gets enough love, she MIGHT actually gain the strength to truly fly (which I am hoping DOES happen).

At any rate, I'll DEFINITELY be looking forward to more of this, but I am also mature enough to respect that real world matters need to come first and inspiration CAN be hard to come by sometimes.

Chomillas are actually mythical winged horses too swift to be mounted by mortal men. I felt like it fit Rainbow Dash.
You're right about Applejack and Pinkie Pie, but Twilight's a dragon-pony hybrid (a longma) and I don't know about Flutters yet.
Glad you enjoy though! ^u^

Thanks for the mythological note concerning chomillas (so, essentially, a Pegasus, but MUCH faster). And you're right, it IS an excellent fit for Rainbow Dash.

And thanks for the correction concerning Twilight.

Yep.
And of course. I couldn't think of what to make Twilight honestly, so I just made her a dragon-pony hybrid, which could possibly be why Celestia chose the dragon egg entrance exam thing.

...for some reason, I want you to reveal Fluttershy's a draconequus.

Yeah. I can see that logic.

Anyway, once again, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done in all the right places. I particularly liked the backstory for Scoots's hive as well as Thorax reforming MUCH sooner than in canon. And, yeah, Sweetie is actually a good cook in this universe (or at least good enough to do pancakes without fouling them up)? That DID catch me by (pleasant) surprise (then again, she's probably had a lot of practice controlling her fire magic for cooking purposes). And, yeah, also enjoyed Twilight mediating things between Bloom and Scoots the additional details concerning that "friendship magic" powered amulet.

Again, REALLY looking forward to more of this.

REALLY good job on this latest chapter. Loved the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I especially enjoyed that the girls' first classes were their big sisters' (or in Scoots' case, big sister FIGURE's) as well as Sweetie's first meeting with Button Mash and Scootaloo's hyperactive recap of what they experienced in Rainbow's class. I have to admit, that IS a creative selection for Fluttershy's species (as well as good info on the simurgh species in the author's notes) and Gabby and Bloom play off each other well.

Again, I am definitely looking forward to more of this.

Really good job on the small bits of historic backstory of this universe (starting out like canon, but the nail came from Celestia being more inclusive toward the non-ponies) and, yeah, can definitely understand why Scoots would be so frustrated with Rumble (though, hopefully Rumble WILL get punished later on). And, yeah, the added info in the author's notes was definitely welcome.

The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up were, of course, rather well done and I will definitely be looking forward to more of this.

This fic deserves more attention! Love all these species!
