It does! I finished this and to reiterate, like most of your stuff this was weird and hot and heartfelt and I love it. Good ship. Fascinating ride. Glad I read it! This was a fun (sometimes really hot) guided tour through a fetish I didn't even know existed. I don't think I'd go off and read more of it on my own though.

It seemed to me you were exploring the concepts in the Omegaverse and unusual situations in it. The alpha-alpha thing, but also an omega male and the cunning omega female who had more power/control than she let on. At least, I made assumptions about the mechanics of this universe and you subverted them.
Like when I read your Dead By Sunset stories!

At times I was wondering if there was an allegory to homosexuality. Then later maybe if it was gender non-conformity. If there was, I think the stronger message was more general and about being honest to yourself and others even if it's not conforming to expectations. Also that submission is hot.

I don’t think I can adequately put into words how much I love this fic. It’s not perfect but gosh it just hits so many good aspects for me. Like. The kinks sure, but also just the characterization (especially how self destructive Sunset is) and the dynamics of these two. I think Sunset and Dash as a ship is criminally underexplored and really it irks me how commonly they’re put at odds with one another through friendship/plot drama. Here their dynamic is a bit combative too, but I like the idea that at the end of the fic they’re both bold enough to have their relationship out in the open and really not care what others think. It makes sense that they would be… daring in their exploits both just generally and sexually. It’s super fun and if you ever end up writing more of them together I’ll be eagerly reading along! Especially if it’s a sequel to this fic!
