Sunset Shimmer never forgot the girl she met at a school dance before she left Equestria. She accepted the fact that she would never see her again, but she never forgot her. Of course you should never say never, because fate doesn't always play out like you would expect.

Typo is fixed

Also I will try to write things slower in the future

Bell? ... Grogar me thinks

Hmm five years? Cherilee must be what then, twenty at most? And a school teacher already? Or do the moons in equestria mean a month, being a year for every 36 days on the human side? Or is the expected age difference part of the plot?
It kinda needs to be, since I sincerely doubt twilight went from a filly to a princess in only five years.

Part of the answer for this is coming in future chapters but I will tell you some thats not. Twilight is placed in this story as being 3 years younger than Sunset and from the first episode of the series to the last 2 years have passed. And Sunset entered the human world in the summer before her freshman year at canterlot high.

Two years for her to go from bookworm apprentice to ruler of equestria with a personal school to boot? Ain't that a little way too fast? :rainbowhuh:

That's about 3.3 days per episode if it considers the entire series. Not to mention how unlikely it'd be for Sunset and Twilight not to know each other with such a small difference... Although their suffered is likely considerably bigger, with what you said. And if you referred to two years of Equestria Girls then things make way more sense and most of what I said is completely irrelevant :derpytongue2:

Still rather curious on how this will develop, no matter the timeline.

I thought 2 years sounded a little absurd as well but if we use the summer sun celebration as a basis to find out how many years have passed. The first episode takes place during this celebration. And 2 more occur after that one with the last celebration happening during the last episode before the time skip.

Nothing stopping you from adopting a saner timeline. It's the most used solution I've seen in every fanfic, else things become so insane the suspension of disbelief suffers harshly for it. I can assure you, that's far from enough to warrant an alternate universe tag, specially since said time lapse is incidental and not "official" as far as I know - nothing says there hasn't been Summer Sun Celebrations offscreen, for example.

In the end it's your decision, go with what makes a better story in your opinion. As readers we trust you to write that what you believe to be the best, in the end.

That escalated quickly. :rainbowlaugh:

Is this supposed to be marked complete?

There is supposed to be a sequel story but a lot of things happened in my life and i never got around to writing it, I think i'm gonna go ahead and try to do it now and get it up before the end of the year.
