Good start, but it's a little odd for them to be Anthro rather than actual ponies.

The anthro is mainly for me to have an easier time writing. I've been trying to write with normal ponies, but I have a hard time figuring out how to describe things and working out gestures when they are on all fours.
That being said, I admire the people who can write so many stories with them in their regular form. For now, I'm trying to figure out how to work those tricks myself. Maybe I can make something as neat as they do eventually.

See I like this first chapter it’s a bit different has a little spin keeps consistent with the story yet it doesn’t feel like you rush or clunky. I’m gonna add this to my favorites and keep reading hopefully the story last all of the eight seasons maybe even the movies

I think this has the potential to be an amazing story. I like the character's and your starting chapters where fun to read through.
My only critique world be that I wish there was more detail per chapter; maybe I'm nitpicking but I would like to read more about the environment, (like Dusk walking to the train instead of just a skip.)
I do know this is the beginning so perhaps as the story progresses skips will happen less often.
I'll be honest this is my first time trying to critique a story, so feel free to ignore this.

I'm glad to see that this came back. This is one of the better Dusk Shine stories and it was sadly one of the shorter ones. Seeing this recent update made me smile.

Interesting, Dusk lived for himself, lived, and then HOP! and fell out of the world
I like Dusk Shine letter he said the absolute truth but I find it funny how Celestia took the high stake rewards go hand in hand in their scales by literally thinking he was going to lost Pegasus. But the next question is how many Mares outnumber stallions in Ponyville.
Hopefully there won't be a plot twist where Twilight accidentally falls in love with a handsome teacher's assistant. It will be funny, of course, but I don't think this story needs a romantic line.
As for Chrysalis, nothing is really clear, I hope for detailed explanations in the future. It is also interesting what hardships await this trinity in the future.

You know, he's being quite fooling in assuming this Twilight will go on to do all the same things as the one in the show. The show Twilight had Spike, Shining Armor, Cadance, and the direct tutoring of Celestia. This one doesn't. The best thing for him to do would be to forget the show entirely. This isn't the show. Chrysalis is only another nail in that.
