Please leave the semantics at the door. A LOT of the fandom refers to Alicorns, Discord, and many other immortals as being deities in their setting, so I don't see the point of this comment.
Even if you can argue the alicorns not being divinities, Discord is a god as far as I'm concerned.

Discord may be a god, but it doesn’t make him omnipotent or all-powerful, he has weaknesses too.
Set aside Monotheism with its idea of a one all-powerful god and look at the Polytheistic Religions, Hinduism for example.
Indra, King of the Gods? He’s been tossed off of his throne and out of heaven 11 times. Shiva, the most powerful god? He ran from a demon who he’d blessed in his own ignorance. Krishna, the avatar of Vishnu the preserver of the Universe? He was fought to a standstill by a mortal, Arjun.
Forget Hinduism, look at Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Aztec, Mayan, Norse or any other. All their gods had vices, virtues and weaknesses. Made it much easier to believe we’d been created in their image and to identify with them.
So Discord gets a power nerf in exchange for being free to be as chaotic or orderly as he desires? Interesting! Good for him; it must be boring to have so much power that 99% of everything is stupidly easy to do. Also good for you! Now you don't have to find some way to depower Discord everytime you wanna have him fight someone.
I wonder how big of a boost being chaos aligned gave him? Is he equally powerful as before and simply lacking that level of control over reality, or have he just been straight up nerfed? I wonder if he's strong enough to hypothetically defeat an aligned god

First off, god doesn't translate to unbeatable or completely all-powerful. Gods in various mythologies sometimes are injured, cursed/lose their powers, or even out right die. But to answer your question?
1. Tirek I'd say is more along the lines of a demon, or the simple fact that he's a power-thief- creature that steal and add the individual magic of normal and powerful creatures always run the risk of reaching godhood.
2. Chrysalis's throne is a magic artificat that is probably connected to herself, who is something of a minor goddess. And gods are ALWAYS ore powerful in their home territory, for one reason or another.
3. Considering it's the bell of GROGAR, who is basically the Devil of MLP's ancient past that created great and terrible monsters? Yeah, that thing is bluntly the personal object of a very old god.
So, in answer to your questions: Yeah, pretty much on all counts

Have you consider making an outline with raw ideas and then proceed from there, trying to connect them? Or asking people where they think the story is going? Maybe you already did and I’m just wasting your time, if that’s the case my bad. In any case I wish you the best of lucks.

Too Many Ideas syndrome. I feel you bro, I’m the exact same. It’s not like you don’t WANT to continue the stories you write, you come up with so many new ideas that you want to put to paper one after another. I do the same and every time I do, another idea catches my attention and derails me away from what I was currently working on.
