The eye finds this rather disgruntling since they were doing such great things together! But alas, fate had other plans, and now, Rainbow Dash's eye must find a way to reunite with his lost host.
With a proverbial smile and an accent to make the mares swoon, the eye swims into the depths of the ocean that covers Equestria's surface, ready and eager to strike up jolly conversation with like-minded mutant creatures of the deep.
What could go wrong?

I know not what to say about this. Nor, in fact, if I can think in a clear enough mindset to talk on behalf of this new story of yours after reading its first chapter. All that I noticed as my eyes were searing away and as my brain was starting to melt, was a small grammatical error in the self-contained paragraph, "And do she did something unexpected."
Now that I've gained some mental faculty back, I would like to congratulate you on making a story that I never could, for Its reach of imagination is far more removed from my understanding. This story gives me vibes from Douglas Adams' wonderfully-hilarious series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I can't wait to see where it goes—Though I may be reading it with only one eye, to protect the other.

This is a story that exists.
It says something about how impressive, in its most literal sense, Rainbow Dash's eye being torn out and eaten was that I immediately knew what this was about after I read the title and the description – the short one.
Still, I'd take a surprisingly posh and refined eyeball swimming around in the ocean over it being digested any day. At least then Rainbow has a chance.
