If theres a remembered mage from before the Dark Age, is he a hero that failed to stop it, or the villein that caused it?

Ah, a man of culture.
we need a list of each of the mc's relationships cause im pretty sure that smol bug is the one with less atm
10331089
Well yeah, he has less because they get nipped in the bud because mares be crazy, at least the doe girls romance candidates, at least Alastor, have the sense to back off .
John went down four since the last author's note. Also, the princeling bit sounded like a plot point.

John's Rank 8 out of 10
Rarity's Rank 4 out of 10
And I just noticed the issue. XD Fixed.
Also.... maybe.

We're gonna show Luna in a little bit, patience. She's gonna have a Companion Bond.

I'm glad you like it. I wrote a good portion of the Nightmare Night chapter since so much of it focused on Lorraine, so I was worried about how it would be received.

Raphael is a persona in the Lovers arcana, smol bug is the "main" romance candidate and the Lovers arcana was the most fitting for John's personality- which is what the arcana social links in Persona are based off of.

Question, since this is AU from canon MLP will there be other changeling hives, I don't remember if I asked this before so ill ask it now.
PS: hope you two have a great week and thank you so much for making this story and everything

Yup, there are other hives, not sure when we're gonna showcase that in-depth though.
Thank you for reading it, I'm always blown away by the positive reception this thing gets.

Well, funny story, when we started roughly planning things out and taking things seriously after chapter 1 (because its popularity exploded, which we weren't expecting) we had a "list" of romance candidates for each character but the problem was my character, Lorraine, wouldn't really "connect" all that well with her list of MLP characters and I really want to present the harem shenanigans as something out of a visual novel or shoujo reverse harem anime. So, since Lorraine is me, what's the funniest yet most embarrassing thing I could think of that sounds great on paper but is an absolute nightmare when put into practice?
My answer was "What if my fictional crushes were real and the very cosmos was shipping me with all of them?"
That evolved into "What is my ideal fantasy?" which was befriending/helping/saving every fictional character I care about and those two ideas have become the driving force of Lorraine's story, hence the Hazbin Hotel and Persona crossover. It's been fun looking at my fangirling and using that to orchestrate some hilarious stuff because that distinction between fiction and reality gets thrown out the window so dealing with fictional characters suddenly being real, while not new thing, is something I wanted to tackle because they're people now and it would rude and awkward to not treat them as such.
I am glad you enjoy the story, we've had fun writing it and there are just some days where I wonder why people like it or have a hard time interpreting comments but at the end of the day I try to have fun with it as this is the only thing I can work on due to my health, even if all I do is dictate lines, discuss story beats or PM Sanguine scenes chunk by 300 word chunk.

I completely get it. It's why I participate in and plan TTRPG sessions in D&D, Pathfinder, Ironclaw, Tales of Equestria and other games like those. The thing I love most about being a GM/DM is determining the consequences of one single question...
"What happens to this society, based on our knowledge of history, if I change this one aspect?"
Ironclaw, for example, is a game all about Anthropomorphic animals in a setting much like Renaissance Europe. Normally there's some sort of dinosaur-like animals that are used as farm animals and beasts of burden, but since all the people in that world are based on real life animals, just human-shaped, how far can they dip into their natural animal instincts before something taboo becomes commonplace?
Or another great question: If Magic exists, how does that affect technology? Does technology continue advancing as normal? or does it stagnate while magic gets advanced? How easy/difficult is it to be a mage?
World building is a fascinating topic.

World building is fun. I tend to focus on broader topics like "how does magic work?" or story related things like "how does this event affect the character?" or "how will this thing, idea or character affect the story?" so there's gaps that I either don't need to address or can figure out later, it's fun figuring out how to make crossovers work within the ruleset we've set up.

on the magic tech one i would think if we had both they would inprove at the same time while being mixed in some way. i would not dought it if someone would had somehow made some kind of magic metal that thaumium or mana steel if we take some of minecraft's mods in the equation.
