You missed your chance to have the first line in the story be "so that's what happened" too, because it would've worked pretty good there also.

I'm not sure what the lesson here was or that anyone actually learned one, but hey, that didn't stop me from reading this.

Yeah I hate it when this is done and up untill one of the pair does a really stupid and clearly overdone thing neither(or the other) party did anything wrong.

Or even worse, when no one does anything wrong, someone is just a tard and takes a real thing for a fake thing and yet we still need a "don't overdo it" lesson for some damned reason.
