Shrinky is right. I wrote this story with the idea of deconstructing the usual clopfic routine of "ponies banging just because". The story even clarifies that Yona's not put off by the roughness, but by the persona Sandbar becomes during the actual act. It's all about trying to understand and relate to one's sexual partner, instead of just dehumanizing them as a sack of meat for one's pleasure.

Well this was an interesting FemDom story, at least I fetl that the pairing was a bit of a novelty.

Yeah, I got the prompt from Akataja for the Jinglemas contest, and it was pretty hard to figure out how Starlight and Sandbar would be paired together without going the usual "teacher-student" hookup most stories would go for. Sandbar was always a bit of an enigma to me outside of being an all around decent guy, so I decided to give him a certain flaw that Starlight would need to guide him away from. It was rather unorthodox, but most people seemed to find it interesting enough.
As for the fem-dom, that kind of followed from the general concept of breaking somepony who always tries to control their partner. I purposefully portrayed it as Sandbar getting a taste of his own medicine and understanding what it's like for the bottom to be at the top's whims most of the time. All in all, a very weird venture into clop I don't plan on repeating, but a good experiment in finding a different way to tell an underutilized pairing.
