After reading the long description, I realized something: doesn't part of this sound like the premise of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?

The premise is from the crossover this is based off of which is older than Smash Bros. (Mid 90s whereas the first Smash Bros is 1999). Hence the correct way to say it is that Smash Bros. sounds like it.

I read the Witchblade manga and watched the anime, then tried to read the comics, got really into the lore of the top cow universe (as I tend to with things) and read as much as I could find about it. It's annoying how little there is on the other artefacts. Also played the darkness games, can't remember which level I got stuck on in 2.
And the mother has arrived.

For the Angelus she can do sexy armor, but given the setting she was in at the time, she went with full armor, much like the WItchblade does when assessing threats, I was also trying to model it close to the Daybreaker version of Celestia. So this is as close to a visual as I can get.

I couldn't find a good lookalike for Sombra, the Darkness armor is maliable, it can change its look according to the will of its current host to better suit them. I modeled Sombra's armor after his dark unicorn counterpart. But essentially, this is base.

Sunset's armor is kind of a hybrid. Her armor is a combination of the anime version and comic versions.

Well I just have this to say......Mother and Son really know how to make their hosts look GOOD, I mean come on just look at how they are like skin tight on the hosts bodies like that to show off all their curves, also I always thought that the Witchblade was female not male.
A balance between yin and yang is needed for any world to function and thrive. Either side could easily destroy the world around it without its opposite to keep it in check.
10079291 According to the lore, the Darkness seeks male hosts and it is male (as male as a primordial entity can get), the Angelus is female and seeks out female hosts. The Witchblade was born of both of them and is male, and to balnace it seeks a female as its host.

Both forces go the extreme lengths. Angelus desires absolute order, ignoring their hosts' wishes.

The necklace. It has to be. It's too well detailed and too well built up to not be the necklace. She's got one of the magic items.

So, Fire, Holy, Dark, Light and Balance. This is going to be one heck of a party.
And just like that, I'm instantly getting some bad vibes off of Angelus. The part of the speech about her being against all crime, the Sentinels, how Witchblade doesn't trust her. Just screams "Totalitarian Pseudo-Utopia". And that part about her "being made by God to combat The Darkness"? IDK, man. That part feels like propaganda to me. Like things are being twisted somehow. And I feel like it's only a matter of time before Sunset starts fighting both The Darkness and The Angelus. Though, that part is obvious. The Keeper of Balance can't pick favorites.
If I remember correctly Witchblade isn't on either of their sides in the comic, let's see what caused that.

Indigo is cruising for a bruising if she doesn't back off. I'm pretty sure that Sunset's getting savvy to what the students of CPA have been doing to her new friend, and I'm also sure that she's not going to let it keep happening.
Glad things in WB-Sunny's life are going well. New ride, dates with fun incarnate, school not being a bunch of bastards. Hope she enjoys the peace before the next storm rises.

And so, we begin to see the danger of absolutes. Yes, the Angelus is a force of pure good, but pure good can be just as cruel as pure evil if there is no space for free will.
Despite her name and appearance, the Angelus is not an angel. She is the being of order, and while she may not cause senseless violence like the Darkness, she will not hesitate to kill innocent people to maintain her view of order.

really the Angelus isn't even pure good as good and evil are mainly just points of view. The Angelus just can't tolerate anything impure by its standard.
