Thanks so much for taking on this project, Ms. Rarity. I thought it would only make sense to have some connection between events in Season 6 and Season 9. Especially since Spike mentions how he and Gabby had become pen pals ever since Twilight had him send her a letter. :)
Now this is a wonderful story of Spike and Gabby! The friendship is definitely strong and genuine! The words exchanged between these two friends explains a lot about the events that kept them apart in the span of Season 6-9. In spite of their great distance, they clearly longed to see each other again, which says a lot.
A wise hen once said, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."
Solid slice-of-life story.
Relied less on shipping than I expected, which is a generally good thing.
A very wonderfully written story that fills in the gaps on how Spike and Gabby became friends.
