After a long night in the Everfree forest, Twilight, somehow, gets a date!

Now, she's doing everything she can to make sure that date will go perfectly.
But this time, she's going to deal with the big stuff first.

Like a 1000 year prophecy of certain vengeance by an ancient Earth pony queen.
Or a slight drought that may destroy Ponyville.
Or Discord being up to something.
Or the Yaks declaring war after Pinkie Pie doesn't eat a muffin.
Or spontaneous baldness.

Spike, on the other hand, has some errands to run and games to play.
Oh, and a paranoid princess to keep alive.

I shall watch your Purple Smart with great interest. :pinkiecrazy:

I've been wondering about Owlowisicious.

Thanks for the support!

Animals in MLP are interesting because they apparently can understand Pony, and the everyone can understand animals to a degree, except Spike and Owlowisicious.
I liked the idea of them just being extremely sarcastic and condensing towards Spike, which is why they pretended not to be able to speak.

Twilight has a date? Even Spike has a lady-friend in the form of his pen-pal.

Hmmm... Interesting.... Follows

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were TheKMExperience

Ok, you've managed to intrigue. I'll stick around to see who Twilight has a date with, and how crazy she might go in the process. Your world building is also fairly good. Interesting take on some of these little asides, if a tad indulgent. But like I said you've got me interested enough to be indulgent.

I can’t possibly be the only one who feels sorry for Spike

Hes certainly one poor motherfucker, that's for sure. :moustache:

Oh I forgot about the imaginary date.

I still have zero idea of WTF I just read. But I love it anyway.

I had no idea what is going on.......and Twilight needs to get laid.

I'm sorry you felt that way.

Could you elaborate on what was confusing? Too many transitions, not enough explanation of what was happening between events?
I'll certainly try to rewrite it and make it clearer.

Thanks for the complement! I think.

Could you explain why it was confusing?

Basically I had no idea of what was going on. Or if there really was a plot at all. I still like it. But if I knew more, it would help.

That's fair.
Basically, the story was about Twilight getting a date, then trying to solve all of Equestria's problems before the date happens.
So it can't be interrupted.
Unfortunately, she stays awake for 3 days while doing so, and goes mildly insane.
Spike, after nearly being killed by said insane Twilight, gets the Mane 6 together and asks the Princess for help.
They recommend that Twilight set up a government organization to do the job for her, so she can actually get some sleep.
This happens, after a few hiccups.

A few weeks later, Twilight sets up another date, and Spike goes on a date with Ember.
And Twilight learns why Celestia and Luna spend a huge amount of magical energy moving the sun and moon.

The main idea was to try to tell a story about Twilight through Spike, since he's mostly treated as an extension of her in the show.
But I've always gotten the impression that he is fairly independent, so I thought it would be fun watching him as Twilight goes out to save the world.

The main idea of the story is that Twilight's got a date and all of this random stuff throws off the entirety.
