MLP/Assassination Classroom Crossover.
Mane Island Academy, situated on Mane Island this school stands as the best education the world over. Every year children are enrolled with the hope of becoming the next generation of heroes, politicians, scientists and overall the best of the best their kingdom has to offer.
E Class is the exception, the one place no student of Mane Island Academy wants to end up. As both punishment and a laughing stock to the main student body E class has produced nothing but the worst society has to offer, once bright futures diminished in the wake of the school's strict rules and even stricter work ethic. A new year brings a new batch of students into E Class and as they all discuss what led them to the rundown, old campus that served as their new classroom for the next few years, a new opportunity presents itself in the form of a large yellow octopus like monster claiming to be their new teacher.
Either kill him before graduation or bear witness to start of another world war between dragons and rest of civilization, for their new teacher is the soon to be crowned Dragon King. E Class has three years to either convince their teacher to not go to war or destroy him first. Either way, this first day is proving to interesting for E Class.

Weapons won't be introduced yet as the first PE class will be more of a biology lesson and team building exercise, a practice run if you will since they don't have weapons yet. It is still the first day of school after all.
Thank you for the comment though, now that I got the International History lesson finished I not sure about what to cover next.

I'm not going to do actual musical numbers due to site rules but they are one example of emotions affecting magic, so I may come up with something else instead of heartsongs to get the point across. Art Class topics are still up in the air in terms what the school would teach and how Korosensei could use that to teach an important lesson. The Arts in universe is an umbrella term as the class covers arts and crafts, music, cooking and the like, the kind of subject no one really cares about but is culturally significant so its part of the syllabus.
This is interesting. Make sure you don't write about multiple school days, however. One should suffice, followed by key events.

This story will focus on the very first day to set up a bit of world building and the characters themselves. I plan to have the sequel be from Pearl's perspective and be more in line with key events from the anime and the students character arcs as she helps them out, I felt like having an OC introduce readers to the world would be too much, too soon for those unfamiliar with Assassination Classroom so I'm breaking the idea up into two stories- this one to introduce the cast, and a second one that follows more of "story".
Thanks for the advice, I wasn't planning on going day by day anyway but I can see that may the impression the story gives off so far. I do have a timeline of events written down elsewhere so I won't be running out of ideas at least.
And I'm glad you find it interesting! I know Assassination Classroom isn't huge on here so I was worried about how this idea would fair out in the wild but I like the anime too much to not put my ideas to use.
If you would have went full equestria with this with no humans besides mr. Octopus as I like to call him. I think it would have been funny and made sence if karasuma was luna cause I keep picturing the moment when karasuma is trying to slash mr. Octopus with an angry face but with luna being him instead XD with her moon being blown up all angry faced.

I didn't want to do a crossover that was just "MLP replacing anime characters" as I find it to be lazy in my eyes. This fic series will show a world where bad things happen to good people, mistakes are made and growth is achieved as a result. Every single student in E Class has their own problems to deal with and overcome, problems either from the academys teaching philosophy, butting heads with others, their home life or the cards just being stacked against them.
I wanted to give Assassination Classroom the My Hero Academia treatment and have a cast of memorable characters that get a chance in the limelight, not a rehash of the anime with ponies instead.
Luna as Karasuma is funny but wouldn't ultimately work even if this story was just Assassination Classroom with MLP characters. There are aspects of the anime I want to keep intact even while adding new ideas into the mix.
So far this is a very fun one. And you stay true to mr. Yellows personality and the chalk moment was funny. Imenjoying this and you've got something good going on here. Keep it up ^_^

Thank you! One of "rules" for this story was to keep the yellow octopus as in character as possible, he's my favorite character from the anime and I felt like he deserves the best I can offer in writing him. He's just so fun to write as well so his lines come naturally. It's easy to write him and fun to work out how he and Pearl would interact or play off the situation.
I want to stick to the tone of the anime as much as I can while still having some serious moments so I'm glad it's working out so far.
I hope you finish this story. I'm going to guess that Starlight is Karma and Cozy Glow is Ihota, while Tirek is Shiro, considering that he also wears a cloak, and since someone's going to take all the magic in the world, it would be suitable for him.

Unfortunately I'm not well enough to write but hopefully I'll finish this one day.
Not every character will be ponified, this is more of a mash up of Assassination Classroom and MLP characters with most of MLP canon being chucked out a window as I wanted to make a unique setting that combined the two and followed a rough outline of the major story beats of the anime.
I don't like reusing source material one-on-one so I try to remix things wherever possible.
