You may either consider it to be such or a completely different story, which it basically is, but the way it's written AS OF NOW would suggest it to be the continuation. P.S There are Trixie becomes Luna's student stories, although i never really got them considering that their trying to compare the situation with Celestia taking a filly apprentice and teaching her from the basics, i would believe it to be harder to teach someone older who already learned the basics, be it the right way or the wrong way.

There is also Nom_deCheval's "Who rules" adult themed(aka clop) series, about the love of Luna and Celestia for each other(and some other stuff happening).
Kinky, Luna and Celestia end up in a secret relationship, after a fight. Luna being dominant. Involves master-slave relationship, Celestia although powerful enough to crush Luna like a melon enjoys it just as much as Luna does. (I love my Celestia being dominant but hey its a good one)

Thats about it i remember and find, there is a clopfic where Luna's magic of the night is related to sex. She gets mad at Celestia and they have a fight. Luna goes to the Everfree forest and meets Trixie, they trade sob stories and have sex. Somewhere along the way Trixie becomes her student. Not sure about the details anymore.

I think if someone that has a touch of talent, leaving me out of course, and tries a Luna teaches Trixie, it should come off pretty good. The way I understand it, from other fics of course, is while magic is magic. Lunas comes from a different place, if you will. Her and Trixies approach are more visceral, rather than logical like Celestia and Twilight.
I will admit, that I did think about trying my hand at one. Just based on the above. The only (minor) problems I seem to run into are.

Having said that...
What I didnt like about it was, Trixie was set up from the word go, by Celestia to lose to Twilight.
Also, she ends up being everyones bitch, forced to 'service' the others, thrown around, knocked out (more than once) and ignored while laying in a friggin heap. Just so the others can chat about whatever.
Inna nutshell, she was disposable. If she lived or died it didnt really seem to matter. As long as Celestia, Luna and Twilight got their jollies.

Also, the Lunaverse is AWESOME! And not just because the 2 best ones, Luna and Trixie, are the stars. But the stories seem to have more depth, they build on one another, a fair amount.
It's a well thought out place.
Trixie can still be kind of a jerk at times, but she means well. It really is something worth reading.

Well yeah one of the advantages of being a fanfic where you dont have a time limit, arent a group of different people writing each episode and what not is that you write it, and if others are inspired to write a part of your world. They do so after you have set some rules to ensure you have continuity.

All characters are awesome, but got to admin the Luna most "love" is a headcanon Luna that probably hasn't got much to do with the MLP Luna. Same with Celestia i bet. So not that i mind it. Will be mind shattering when we learn our beloved princesses are different from our waifus.
That is if we ever see a episode centered around them and their personalities.
Still every character makes the show what it is. But this is fiction so you can make it whatever you want.
