Before the two knew what had happened, Lightning Dust and Wind Rider had chased the Wonderbolts out. They must flee and regroup somewhere else, but the two ex-bolts have the Washouts on their side, as well as some eerily familiar ponies that Rainbow Dash remembers.
However much Spitfire hates to admit it, they need help
P.S: 'violence' is added because a few times the characters make threats that seem violent, not sure if it counts. Also, I found the cover art on Google and got the idea for a fic about it

This is a really good start. I can see a lot of definite potential already!
There are the little things, though... parts that weren't expressed enough in relation to expressed parts that weren't as important. I'd recommend another read-through, maybe look at it with a fresh eye, just to polish things up a bit.

I am noticing that you leave out a lot of periods at the end of your sentences, and that does throw me off, but... honestly, that isn't a great issue.
From a reader's POV, I'd love to see each of their runs. But from a fellow human being's POV, I'll just say you should do whatever lies best with you. If you don't have time, or energy, or simply don't want, to write each one out, then just skip along to Rainbow's. We believe in you.

And how, pray tell would they do that? I'm not shooting down your ideas, but Fluttershy mentioned in Sound of Silence that she can understand animals through the emotions they express, not by genuinely talking to them. She obviously can, but even then, Lightning Dust could argue that because she's Rainbow's friend, the information isn't reliable.
Mm. Pretty good, though I am wondering how Lighting knows about Spits' father. And why Spitfire couldn't keep herself composed; I get how she'll relax in private, but in public... well, I've seen her called "the toughest mare in Equestria".
Also, sad to see this story almost finished! What a great story; what a great ride. 'Twas always a good day when a chapter came out.

As for your first question, I did explain it in the chapter where they're flying. Dust states "my dad used to work for your dad" meaning that she would have heard through him about Spitfire's dad's inprisonment. As for the second question, Spit couldn't keep herself calm because, as Lightning Dust mentioned, the fire magic is unstable, so when she gets overly frustrated with another pony, it can come out suddenly and she can't control it, which also feeds her anger. Although, as you see, she does manage to keep herself calm enough not to lash out violently without being provoked.
And a sequel won't be necessary considering the final chapter. You'll see. Although I'm working on another Wonderbolt fic that could be considered a sequel. It hasn't been approved yet, but when it is, you can check it out.

Ah! I see now. That makes sense. And a very clever idea, the fire magic. I love the idea of Spitfire possibly being stronger than even the alicorns.
